This tour was excellent and moved at just the right pace. Seda, my guide, was so knowledgeable and had such a charming personality. When I told her I was interested in carpets at the end of the tour, she took me to a store, Matis, where I got to see a carpet being made. It was a terrific morning!

Went to Istanbul for four full days. We were staying in the old part of the city and were told by the hotel everything was close at hand and we didn't need a guide! After a full day wandering around all the main attractions and learning nothing We returned to the hotel and contacted istanbulcitytours.net and arranged a full city tour the next day as well as a half day river cruise the following day. Absolutely fantastic. We were given so much information by Mehmet (With us for both tours) He had time for everybody and nothing was too much trouble. His knowledge of the subjects was immense .Do not visit Istanbul without an official tour if you wish to get benefit as a tourist

We were staying in Istanbul for a week but couldn't decide whether to leave town and check out Cappadocia. Then we met Ayhan, owner of Daily City Tours. He could not have been more awesome!!! When he came to personally pick us up in the morning for an Istanbul tour (which we’d booked the NIGHT BEFORE), we talked about potentially also doing Cappodocia.

Here’s where it gets good: Ayhan got back to us the same day with a bid and we confirmed a flight/hotel/tour package for the following morning -- transit to and from the airport included. It was a SUPER last-minute decision, but it was a highlight of our trip, and, you know, our decade. What an unbelievable place! Incomparable scenery, absolutely magical. Highly recommend spending the extra cash for the hot air balloon ride. Totally unforgettable. Ayhan negotiated a below-market price for us for an epic room at a CAVE HOTEL (cozy, surprisingly luxe, and some 2,000 years old). He hooked us up with a fun guide (only two other people were on the tour). And he even coordinated the breath-taking hot-air ballooning trip. Mad props to Daily City Tours. We spent the entire time wondering how such an incredible excursion could cost so little and be planned so quickly. Highly recommend.

Too boot: We got a wonderful private tour of the major sites in Istanbul for a pretty reasonable rate through this company (also booked super last minute!). There's so much to know about the area -- more than we could ever have gleaned from a guidebook -- so getting a tour was a must for us. We lucked out with a guide who was both entertaining and knowledgeable. (His past jobs included civil engineering for the city.) He customized the tour so that we spent time where we wanted and skipped the sites we weren't excited about. Good restaurant/shopping recommendations, too.

When it comes to planning a trip to Istanbul (private or business one), Mr Ayhan Akkilic is a first person to contact. He is a one-stop shop for everything to make your stay comfortable and careless. You need a room, transfer, a boat trip, a special store to buy something, a present for your friends? No problem! Ayhan will help you with all of it. You need a suggestion where to go out, what to visit? It is solved if Ayhan is there. He will tell you interesting stories about Istanbul, recommend nice places to eat, nice places to shop, he will make you company while waiting for your taxi and chit chat with you. Ahyan and his agency are really reliable partner you can always lean on. So with no doubts please feel free to contact him in regard to any issue it might raise when organising your trip to Istanbul (and other places in Turkey), you will promtly be provided with support and Ayhan will make it with a smile.
