Location of the hotel is very very good and historical sites, places for food etc are easily accessible.

Room we used was a bit small but manageable. Rooms were prepared in advance as per our requirement which was a positive.

Murat was very helpful for us in arranging the tours and taxi whenever required. He guided well whenever there was a query or requirement.

Breakfast was also good.

We stayed here for 4 nights in June on a booking we made with British Airways. The hotel is well placed within walking distance to almost all the key attractions in Istanbul especially came handy with my parents who are old and don't enjoy walking around much.
PROS:
1) All facilities are within walking distance. There is a supermarket next to and in front of the hotel
2) There are restaurants to eat literally a few seconds walk away
3) The attractions are all in walking distance
4) Grand Bazar is close enough to walk
5) Airport transfer is only less than half an hour and costs around TL100 if booked throuh a local company. I used a company called Transfer 212 for private transfer from airport to hotel and back, each costing TL100 for all of us in a very comfortable people carrier.
6) Shower was nice and powerful. The doors could do with a bit of re-alignment as water seeps through the gap it has when closed.

CONS:
1) The rooms are small but relatively clean. We were quite annoyed when we checked in (past midnight) that the room was indicated as a double with an infant and two adults and we got a set up of a twin room and no cot. We requested one and got it the next day. The poor guy at the reception joined the two beds together with a mattress joining cover only to be removed by house keeping the next day. Unfortunately the same guy came back to do it all over again the next evening so we had to communicate ourselves with the housekeeping that the cover isn't removed. After that it was fine.
2) The room is pretty tight but manageable.
3) The breakfast was not great, it was not refilled fast enough and the waiters couldn't care less. but it was breakfast nevertheless. The coffee was not nice either.
4) The guys at the reception were helpful but over eager to book us with any dinner cruises etc which felt like they had a cut so keen to up sell, which in principle is fine but don't push too much, thanks!
5) The air con in the room was totally ineffective due to the shape of it. The grille would blow cold air in a weak stream to the window and none reaches the bed, and therefore was VERY hot in the night. We had to request for a fan to be provided which they obliged but the whole point of an aircon is lost.

as a tip : if you need a cot , email the hotel in advance. Also if you need double, make sure it is requested in advance as I believe all rooms may be set up by default as twin

We stayed in a quadruple room and had it for 7 days. We had requested a room with a view but what we got in room 307 was a view of a brick wall and fire escape.
I had asked for this 6 months previously. Also mentioned it was my sons birthday and they said do not worry. But disappointed more with the lack of natural light.
If you have been to Turkey before you will have noticed central ceiling lights are not the standard. As a result the room had very little natural light. So we requested 2 table lamps but were only given one. The room with all the lights on remained very dull.
The fridge freezer had a massive build up up ice inside and it could be doing with a regular defrost. As a result it was never really cold enough for our water and juices we kept in there.
The bathroom was good apart from a massive crack inside the wash basin.I suggest management replace the sink ,as attention to detail matters.
Our AC did work but even when it was off it made a rattling, knocking noise throughout the night. I know my brother-in-laws room the AC was out for 5 days! Management promised but did nothing. He will be writing his own review shortly.
The breakfast was average but very monotonous. But if coffee and toast is your thing then it will not bother you.Boiled eggs, scrambled eggs, mushrooms, toast, cereal ,cheese, melon, tomatoes.
I suggest the staff have everything prepared when breakfast starts at 7.30 am.I did not like waiting 45 mins for scrambled eggs and mushrooms. This happened very regularly. Some of the staff seemed half asleep. The coffee machine broke down and was out of action over the weekend as no one was there to repair it. Again very poor show.
Watch out for the warm milk for your cereal ,as I had to request cold milk.So a staff member went to the local shop to buy some. I had a feeling the milk jug had been kept out overnight or their own fridge was not cold enough.Too much ice?
The hotel was functional but attention to detail makes a place a much better customer experience for the guest. I got the impression it was shuffle them in and then shuffle them back out again.
Would I ever go back to this hotel again? Personally no I would not.

Room Tip: Do NOT take room 307 as you will be facing a fire exit and a brick wall. All rooms at that side 207 ,407 look out toward the back.
