A wonderful museum and a great experience; a little bit off the beaten track but well worth the effort of getting there and this is how you do it: take the tram to Kabatas, get off at the last stop. On your right you will see a bus station. There are 4 islands where the buses stop and there are no indications as to which bus stops where. You want the 25E and it stops at the island nearest to the sea. Ask the driver for Emirgan. The trip takes between 35 and 45 minutes and it is a pleasant ride up the Bosphorus. The museum is housed in a villa in a very lovely park overlooking the water. I saw an Anish Kapoor exhibition, worth any amount of travelling to see - simply fantastic. Dont miss lunch at the restaurant. A little pricey by Istanbul standards but such delicious food.

Well worth a bus tour (from Kabatas) along the Bosphorus. A great collection of recent Turkish art (the last centuries), situated in a refreshing park and with a nice restuarant.

This is a very modern museum with both permenant and contemprory exhibitions. You can find very famous pieces to see. It is located near Bosphorus in an amazing garden. YOu can also enjoy the view and the garden as well as art pieces. It's abit far from city center, but still worth seeing.
