We decided to spend a few days in Istambul and were recommended to stay at the Erboy by friends we have met on several occasions in Dalyan.
We were not disappointed! The hotel was very clean and the staff made our stay most enjoyable. It is the staff who turn a good hotel into a great one.
Internal flights in Turkey we found to be cheap and reliable. Just over £60 each return from Dalaman
I had not made the time to research Istambul before we went, but what a facinating city! So much to see in 3 days. Needless to say we only scratched the surface so we will be back and we will be staying at the Erboy again.

We spent several nights at the Erboy with a break in the middle. The staff are friendly and very accommodating, the rooms are very clean and the location is great. You can walk everywhere or hop on the tram. Free airport transfers are provided for 3 nights or more which is a good saving. Breakfasts are great and the roof top restaurant very enjoyable. We arrived after an overnight flight and were immediately offered a complimentary breakfast until our room was ready which was by 11am. Would stay here again in a heart beat!

We spent 4 memorable nights at Erboy in September and definitely recommend it to anybody visiting Istanbul. Our online booking was handled very promptly and professionally. We were collected at the airport as arranged. Reception at the hotel was very welcoming, with some apple tea and useful information regarding transport and sights in the city. We stayed in a standard double room (2203) which is at the back of the hotel, overlooking a pedestrian street which contains restaurants and hotels. The room is relatively small but not cramped. One can hear the street sounds, being on the second floor, but we enjoyed the festive atmosphere and often had the balcony doors open completely. The double glazing keeps most of the sounds out and we never felt our nights were disturbed.

The bed linen and towels are good quality and always clean and fresh. The room (and hotel on the whole) were always clean. We found the wi-fi in the room to be a little slow, but used the computers in the lobby when we needed to.

Breakfast is a wide range of foods, so one doesn't get bored and you certainly don't go hungry!

To get to all the major sights by either walking or using the tram, Erboy is perfectly situated. The closest tram station is Gulhane, about 50 meters down the street. The tram token machine is also right next to three cash teller machines, which is very convenient.

We were always greeted with a smile and the staff at the hotel were eager to assist with any query. They even arranged sandwiches for us, for our very early morning departure.

We returned to Istanbul four days later and the staff at Erboy assisted us in getting a room for that night, at their sister hotel, Sirkeci Konak at a good rate.

Room Tip: Rooms at the back of the hotel don't have traffic noise (the road in front of the hotel is quite...

We stayed for 8 nights at Erboy Hotel and feel that we could not have made a better choice. We were picked up at the airport and driven to the Hotel free of charge, where we were welcomed with a cold drink and given maps and helpful information about possible visits. All the staff were very helpful and nothing was too much trouble. Our room was on the small side but comfortable and kept spotlessly clean each day. Breakfasts were very good, with plenty of choice and spread over a long time and the Restaurant was superb. The food was delicious and very reasonably priced, with the option of eating on the roof terrace with its panoramic views. So many "must visit" sights were within very easy walking distance and for those farther afield the tram was 2 minutes away. We would have no hesitation whatsoever in recommending this hotel as providing suerb value for money.

Our 4-night October stay at Erboy Hotel was very enjoyable.

The staff are lovely. They arranged our transfers from Sabiha Gokcen airport at very good rates, greeted us with complementary apple tea and were unfailingly helpful.

The Erboy is quietly stylish and spotlessly clean. Our room was comfortable and adequately furnished; everything in the bathroom worked perfectly. Clean sheets/towels every day, quiet and effective air conditioning. The view wasn't great, unless you like looking at heating and ventilation plant, but we spent very few daylight hours in our room so no big deal.

It takes just a few minutes to walk to Topkapi, Hagia Sofia, Blue Mosque and the ferry quay.

Saving the best for last: the tucker. Our travelling companions are dedicated foodies, and they reckoned the restaurant to be among the best they have ever visited. We ate on the roof terrace, after dark, and the view is absolutely breathtaking. Reasonable prices, too - as usual we spent more on booze than food, but it still came in at well under thirty quid per person.

Highly recommended.

My family and I stayed at Erboy Hotel during our trip to Istanbul last summer. We really enjoyed staying at this hotel, because it is located in a very strategic area. It is close to Hagia Sophia and Blue Mosque, which should be the main tourist attraction at Istanbul.

The room was nice and clean, the service was very nice, and the breakfast was good. It also has a very good wifi connection. If I would visit Istanbul again, I will surely choose this hotel again because of its location and service.

Withiut a doubt, this hotel is VERY RECOMMENDED!

My wife (76) and I (80) stayed at Erboy Hotel from 24. to 28.9.2012.
We had a very nice time and learnt to know and to love the politeness and kindness of the turkish people.
The Hotel is very good situated, in the old part of Istanbul, with everything you need close by, for instance tourist attractions
and restaurants. You find the tram station of the TR-1 "Gülhane" in about 200 m from the hotels entrance. This tram brings you to al important points of the town in short time. But you must be prepared that it is very owercrowded.
The hotel has a roomy entrance hall with check-in and information counter, groups of waiting or resting chairs, computer work-
station and internet connection. For having breakfast you must go downstairs and find the breakfast-room in connection with
the restaurant, at the Ibni Kemal Caddesi, which is situated parallel to the Ebusuud Cad. We had two tiny rooms on the ground floor and a suitable bathroom, clean and comfortable. Now we come to mention the highlight of Erboy hotel, it is the terrace on the roof, which is a restaurant in the evening. You have an amazing sight over the hills of Istanbul, Golden Horn, Bosporus and Marmara Sea, especially in the evening, when it is dark and the lights are on it is very impressive.

Room Tip: higher floors have less noise
