I have stayed in the And Hotel twice and will always choose this hotel for a stay in Istanbul. I have stayed in Istanbul many times before and I will never stay anywhere else in future. The location is perfect, quiet area near all the main attractions and public transport (tram). On both visits we had a lovely twin room facing the Hagia Sophia, with a beautiful view from the room. The room we had was spacious and well equipped. The staff is very accommodating and friendly. With our last stay we had to leave very early to get a flight at 5.00 and it was no trouble to get a light early breakfast.
I can recommend this hotel, excellent value for money and will be back for another visit in June 2013.

Room Tip: Room facing the Hagia Sophia.

Dear Sir/Madam,

Thank you very much for spending your time for such a good review.

As we mentioned direct sunlight, kitchen facilities and lack of sitting positions made us serve our breakfast at the entrance caffe.

Have a nice and happy new year

Best regards,
AND Hotel Team

This is a very nice hotel that is a short walk from Hagia Sophia, the Blue Mosque, and the Topkapi Museum. The rooms are not large, but they are clean and well-maintained, and the views are magnificent, especially at night. The staff was pleasant and very helpful, and the restaurant on the top floor has great Turkish food and friendly, excellent service. Large windows on three sides show you the beauty of Istanbul by night.

This hotel has a great location, a fabulous view and comfortable rooms. However, the famous Turkish hospitality is totally missing. The staff is cold and curt and makes you feel invisible. They are responsive - for example they promptly replaced a side table in our room when the drawer stuck. The breakfast is sparse. When we were there there was a cappuccino machine and boiled eggs the first morning. The second morning the machine and the eggs were gone, the third the pancakes disappeared. There were prominent signs offering all these things for more money. The prices at the rooftop restaurant are ridiculous and some people in our group were overcharged and had to argue to get their bill adjusted.

Particularly well located hotel, very close to Sofia and Blue Mosque, also to tram and waterfront. Very good staff, good breakfast, limited Western food options, nice clean rooms. Recommended. Not cheap, but not too bad given the location.

Returned from Turkey last week and spent 6 nights at the AND hotel over 2 visits. Hotel was very well situated to most of the tourist attractions in the Sultanahmet district. 5 minute walk to Metro station as well. We actually walked to Beyouglu district one night but that was upwards of an hours walk.
Hotel was clean and we had a great view of the Aya Sofia. Rooftop restaurant had great views both directions and even though we only had drinks, it looked like a nice restaurant. Breakfast in the mornings was adequate with a good selection of food.
We were there as part of a package so I am not sure how much the hotel cost, but it did seem to offer a good value. I would recommend this hotel to others.

Room Tip: Rooms on the south side have great views of the Aya Sofia. The higher floors have better views.
