Erguvan hotel is definitely the cream of the crop! My friends and I (6 ladies) spent 3 nights at this hotel in April 2010. It was the highlight of our stay in Istanbul. Hakkan and his staff (Ayub etc) are definitely the best! It is wonderful when you meet people who love what they do ... and they definitely do! Their recommendations for dinner were perfect, their suggestions for places to visit were superb, and their hospitality and excitement about our visit were contagious!
We had 2 rooms at the hotel with one room overlooking the Blue mosque and the Marmara sea which is the same view from the terrace where delicious breakfast were served. A sample of the Turkish cuisine, the Borek were cooked to perfection and definitely a pleasant surprise. We loved the fresh fruits, baked goods as well as the coffee. The bed was very comfortable and clean.
St Sophia, the Blue Mosque and the Grand Bazaar were about 5-10 minute walk. The Doy-doy restaurant around the corner is a “must eat” restaurant with delicious kebaps, desserts and great Turkish coffee!
My friends and I will treasure this extraordinary and memorable experience we had in Istanbul. We definitely had a blast. I have visited over 10 countries in Europe and I definitely recommend this hotel. Erguvan hotel had surpassed all my hotel expectations!More
