I booked 4 nights here for xmas and i am so glad i changed hotels for the new year. Firstly, this hotel is more like a hostel the beds where tiny and so uncomfortable they joined two singles together! The tv had no remote i had to personally request it. The room was too
Hot and the air con apparently only
Works in the "summer" .

I went upstairs for breakfast. There was only one lady working all alone and she was very unenthusiastic she did not even greet anyone who came in, on top of this i had to ask her to top up the empty tray of eggs, bread and even had to ask for milk in my coffee it was just
Embarrassing and other guests where all
Getting frustrated as they had the same
Problem! The women could easily
Avoid this by simply ensuring all food is topped up its not a lot to ask seen as it was well within the time.

If you decide to stay here for the location do not pay more then what you would pay for a two star hostel because it really does not fulfil the standards of an established hotel
! Sultanahmed is a beautiful area and u can overlook the back parts of the mosques but you can easily stay in one of the surrounding areas and get the tram there!

I stayed here on my first trip to Istanbul, a stopover for two days on a work trip to Ethiopia.

Booking was a little bit confusing, I was offered a better rate than listed online after emailing but had to email a credit card number to confirm. They offered free airport shuttle service, but the driver was nowhere to be found after we arrived. Another driver was found and all was worked out but be warned that you may want to have some change and the hotel's number handy when you arrive. Shuttle back to the airport was prompt and quick so no complaints.

The double rooms are a good size, but the singles (there are only 3 in the hotel) are tiny, with no desk. If you are staying alone my advice would be to pay the extra for a double if you need space.

The breakfast (served on the terrace, with beautiful view overlooking the Blue Mosque) had a good variety of pastries, hot eggs and sausage, and a cheese and olive bar. The restaurant and room service was not operating while I was there, but the friendly reception staff was happy to recommend a number of very good nearby restaurants.

The location of this hotel can't be beat - right in the heart of Sultanahmet with a 3-minute walk to all the major attractions. The staff was also extremely friendly and very helpful. The rooms are nothing spectacular but the price is right, the location is excellent, and I would undoubtedly stay here again.

Room Tip: Singles are much smaller than doubles, and are noisier. Walls are not very insulating so try to req...

Finding good price/value hotels in Istanbul is a challenge. This was however a very good experience! Friendly staff with honest information, clean and nice rooms, great location in the centre of Istanbul, honest breakfast.

This hotel's location is hard to beat. It's also very clean, with spacious rooms, a decent breakfast, and fast reliable WiFi internet service. We were overbooked on the first night and the hotel offered us a different room in another hotel. We accepted this offer in return for a free upgrade to junior suite (from a standard double) and a free dinner. They took care of transportation to and from the other hotel and were quite helpful and friendly throughout the experience.

Overall, I would highly recommend this hotel if you are looking for somewhere good to stay in Istanbul in a fantastic location at a reasonable price.

very bad hotel about the service and the rooms, non professional and it is written 4 stars hotel. It is even not a half star, the toilet was really bad and small and in 3 days staying there the room service came to me in the last day. There is nobody in the restaurant, only one guy and he is also employed for everything cleaning, concierge, waiter and chef. completely terrible :s, i will not go there for an other time :)

Three of my girlfriends and I stayed 5 nights at the Erguvan Hotel in Istanbul. The location of the hotel is perfect - within short walking distance (~5-10 min max) of the Blue Mosque, Hagia Sophia and Topkapi Palace. I travel extensively for business and am used to staying in luxury accommodations. While this hotel may not meet all luxury needs, it is extremely clean & modern and rooms are quaint and nicely appointed. The stay was made worthwhile by the friendly and helpful staff; I don't think I have stayed anywhere in the world with such helpful and genuinely friendly staff, as they wanted to make sure that we had an excellent vacation in Istanbul. They helped us with suggestions of Turkish bath houses, as well as advising best dates/ times to see the various sites in the greater Istanbul area. Their breakfast buffet is good value since it is included in room price. I would defiinitely recommend this hotel.
