It is realy nice hotel, we spent 2 weeks and we were realy happy, friendly staff, especially the guys of breakfast always smily and helpufull and close to blue mosque, aya sofia, top kapi musium must see, it is in the heart of sultanahmet area, honestly won't regret it at all,

Just be carefull about few restaurants because they add extra 10% to the service which is like in way how to rubb money
Istanbul is lovely town musssssst seeeee .

I warmly recommend the Albatros Premier Hotel based on the ff. reasons:
The oriental comforts of the hotel in modern Istanbul;the perfect proximity to the AyaSofia, blue mosque,Arasta bazaar, taxi stand,City Bus tour starting station, and many other restaurants and hotels. The excellent, friendly and English speaking hotel staff headed by Assistant Mgr.Mr.Tuncay Topcu,Guest Relations Director Ms Nesrin Oncel,Mr Savas Celenk,Mr Ferhat Kaya,Mr Kenan and Mr Omar. The seaview and AyaSofia view from the rooftop breakfast garden. The extremely comfortable and back-friendly orthopedic beds which offer fantastic rest after long and tiring walks around a great city ! The very good value for money and ideal location in the old SultanAhmet district. I actually enjoyed being woken up by the sounds of seagulls and albatrosses in the morning, and hearing the Calls for Prayer from the Mosques. It reminded me of being in the Orient and a different world! Book the ff. tours with Ms.Oncel who can give you great sightseeing tips and advices: the Doubledecker Bus City Tour by PlanTours, the Bosporus Tours, and the Hodjapasha night of Turkish Dances.

The main positive thing about this hotel is the location, its right in the heart of the old city of Istanbul (Sultanahmet) and its very close to all attractions and differerrnt palaces and mosques, beside the tram station is just 5 minutes walk from the hotel, and there are plenty of restaurants and shops in the surrounding area.

Breakfast was good, served on the top floor rrestaurant which has a nice terrace, but watch out from the birds (albatros) which can come very close to your table and can literally steal some of your food (they stole some of my cheese !!)

I stayed with my husband in this hotel for 4 nights, and when we were about to go to bed, I had noticed some hair on the bed sheets (that didnt belong to us) beside some dirt of "unclear" nature under the pillow, so I called the reception to send someone to change the bed sheets as either the room service did not do thier job properly during the day or they have serious problems with thier washing machines, anyway they changed them and we got to sleep.
the next day when I wanted to shower there was a problem with the drainge and the water kept accumulating in the shower and later started flooding out to the bathroom floor, we asked them to send someone to check and fix it, which they did, but then when my husband went to shower, the problem was back and clearly whoever they sent to fix it, did not do it well..

they told us the world cup games were broadcasted in the channels that was avaiable in the rooms, but when we got there, the channels did not show any game, so we had to call and ask for it to be fixed.

Dispite the issues we had with our room, the staff were in all occasion quite helpful and freindly and offered the best they could to make it a comfortable stay for us.

The only reason that would make me not recommend this hotel is the Hygine issues that we encountered.
To me Hygine and cleaness comes first before location, service, quality...etc

We stayed in this hotel at the end of Jule and spent a beautiful time here. Every morning we had a delicious breakfast and a very civil staff served us. The rooms was very clean, the terrace was nice for us. My little son fascionated with albatrosses very much. On our next trip we would stay in Albatros again.

Thank you for everything.

We stayed at Albatros Hotel for 4 nights in September. We booked a premium suite which we found wonderful and enjoyed our stay their. The hotel is very cleen, has a very friendly staff, elegant rooms, and a nice breakfast area on the roof. The only thing that I didn't like about the hotel is that there are no restaurants and coffee shops nearby and transporation is difficult to find.

Located in the historic site Sltanahmet, Albatros Premier Hotel had the exact atmospher of Istanbul. Though only few minutes walk to Blue mosque and Hagia Sophia, the neighborhood of the hotel is very quiet. I heard that the hotel had just renoveted, so room was charming and everything new. I have to comment about staffs. They were very frendly and proffesional. The receptionist Mr. Tuncay was nice person. He gave us a great advise of sightseeings and arranged our transportations perfectly. We enjoyed comfortable stay in Istanbul.
