We spent four nights here and everything was wonderful. The hotel is beautiful and clean. Although the room we booked was not available, we were given the top floor suite with balcony. The room is lovely with great views. The manager, Ihan (sp?), booked a complementary Turkish bath treatment for us and was helpful with anything we needed. Breakfast buffet is delicious. Easy to get anywhere in the city on foot. They even kept our bags for us until we return in two weeks! Excellent choice for Istanbul hotel!

A decent hotel close to the Blue Mosque (10 mins walk) and Topkapi Palace (20 mins walk). The hotel has a lovely facade, and the rooms were good but definitely a little tired inside and could do with a revamp. Having said this we had a comfortable stay.

Domestic staff were friendly and pleasant but reception staff can appear a little direct/rude, maybe due to language limitations. But after mentioning this to the manager in passing I received an apology and was satisfied.

My only real complaint is that they placed my family in rooms far apart which was made up of young children and a teenager - if it wasn't for my teenager this would have been a real problem. I had made the booking many months in advance and entered notes about this being a family booking, but they had no other available rooms apparently.

Overall recommended at the mid-price we paid.

Room Tip: Room 201 was very spacious and large

I usually pick hotels myself but the tour company picked Hotel Albatros for me - and it was great. Staff very friendly and helpful, check in was really good. I requested a room on one of the upper floors and this was done for me.

If I have any criticism the room whilst very comfortable was beginning to look a little tired. It was spotlessly clean and housekeeping excellent.

Wifi worked well, breakfast was very good, shower was great and the glazing cut out a lot of noise. Tea and coffee making facilities, no Dvd player, ATM in lobby which was useful

Location is but a very short stroll to all the main sites in the city.

Oh an do go to the Cheers Soul Kitchen Restaurant behind it for an excellent meal and the Seatanbul Restaurant just a few metres further is very good too.

I stayed at the Albatros twice this month while touring Turkey . This hotel has a great location and is so handy to some of the main attractions in Istanbul. In walking distance of the Grand Bazaar and Blue Mosue etc. It is value for money and is clean, quiet and well run. The staff were a major asset to the hotel and nothing was a bother .

I spent 3 nights at the Albatros Hotel in October. It was a wonderful experience. Aside from it being centrally located to many sights to visit, the rooms were comfy, the breakfast was lovely and the service was great. The staff were also very friendly and helpful. I would definitely recommend staying at Albatros Hotel. Be sure to take advantage of the incredible views from their terrace.
