Very beautiful hotel with nice & cordial staff. Location is quite good within minutes distance from the blue mosque & Hagia Sophia. Also very close to the beach. This is the right area to stay in Istanbul ! The price at which the hotel operates is very great !

I stayed at this hotel with my wife for 11 days during September. The hotel is very clean, the staff is very polite and cooperative, and the hotel is located within walking distance from all the popular historic sites, the market and the public transport. There are also multiple mini stores close by to get water, fruit etc. Special thanks to Oner, Erdwan, Berat and Cagatay for all the tips and making our stay comfortable.

I stayed here with a friend for 2 nights in August. Wonderful welcome, pleasant twin room with seating area and spotless bathroom, very conveniently located about 5 mins from the Blue Mosque and other major sites. Fabulous breakfast. Great value for money. Would recommend, and would stay there again if I find myself in Istanbul.

Stayed here for 6 nights at the end of July with two other friends and had no issues. The staff were friendly and very helpful. Our room was a little small -for 3 adults-, but simply (& nicely) decorated and clean. The room also had the view of the ocean and the old hamam style bathroom which was a delite. Would defiantely stay here again.

The hotel is also very close to all the icons you would like to go see at the Sultanahmet district. 2-3min walk to get to the Blue Mosque (which is also next to Hagia Sophia, tram line etc). 10-15min to walk to the Grand Bazaar.

All the above at reasonable cost so I couldn't ask for more. Our group had a double and triple which were very comfortable size wise. Location is the best just a few mins away from a main rd full of restaurants and short walk to all the must see monuments! I highly recommend the hotel. On our return stayed at golden horn sirkeci ....if u talk about cramped rooms fellow travelers pls try that one!!!

Room Tip: Can't say cos efendi travels did the booking

We are staying in this hotel now and this has been the worst experience ever in our life. The a/c does not work at all. The rooms are all cramped and there is no space even to keep your luggage. We changed our room thrice and are still not happy with the present room that has been given to us.Even if you complain no suitable action has been taken.

My husband and I stayed for 4 nights in Yusuf Pasa Konagi in October 2011 and thoroughly enjoyed our experience there. It is very centrally located so we were able to walk to all the big ticket sights like the Blue Mosque, Palace and Aya Sofia, and it was well within striking distance by public transport or longer walk of the Grand and Spice Bazaars. It is also just off a street with a lot of restaurants, where, while touristy, you can always be assured of a place to eat. The room itself was of a fairly decent size, though one drawback was the concrete-like bed. The bathroom was also a bit of a puzzle as the showerhead was positioned above a rather high ledge (not friendly to those with mobility problems). We did enjoy the view over the Sea of Mamara in the early mornings (as we suffered from jet lag!), looking down at a nearby school as the sun rose and listening to the resident rooster wake everyone up long before the call to prayer did.

The breakfast was divine – a highlight of each day! It was in a Turkish buffet style, featuring a selection of bread and pastries, cheese, cured meats, dried figs and apricots, nuts, yoghurt, fresh cut cucumbers and tomatoes, olives and boiled eggs, all washed down with our choice of tea, Turkish being the preference. I could eat that breakfast every day! Speaking of food, and to go off topic a little, I would recommend spending some of your trip outside Sultanahmet, and if you are a foodie like myself, make the trip to Asitane which offers dishes served to Ottoman emperors, making it a history lesson as well as a fine meal. We had dishes originally devised in 1539, and my stuffed melon main was to die for.
