“a breakfast on the roof of istanbul... so lovely...”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 10, 2012

we stayed in this hotel just one night but if a trip leads us to Istanbul again, this sure will be our choice. Hotel is very well located. The tramline is 30 m and it takes about 10 min to Sultanhamet. The young man at the reception gave us the map of the city core and explaind where to go, what to, how much will cost us public transportation. very friendly and kindly.

Rooms are lill bit small but comfy, clean and up to date. as our room was located on the street side we expected to hear some traffic noise but nothing. double windows :))

in the mornig we had a breakfast. as we came on the 7th fllor of the hotel we were just astonished with the view. sun was just raising over the Istanbul. splendid. the breakfast was absolutly fantastic. fresh baked croissants, omlets, fresh orange and nar juice...etc...

so, if you dont desire for great luxury this is a place to stay with a soul and fabolous people :)

Clean rooms although a bit small, very comfortable beds. Double/double insulated windows means it's quiet even on the busy road side. The tramline to all of Istanbul's attractions is right out the door. About 10 mins to Sultanahmet . Trams can be crowded but it's part of the experience ( get an Istanbulkarte ). Breakfast location is fantastic... 7th floor view of one of the worlds best city skylines, but the coffee is average. The restaurant near the foyer has a limited menu. Laundry is not cheap but found one by turning left at the front door and left down the narrow street for a block and a half. $5 / kilo Molla Gurani Cad. 28.

I stayed here for five nights as part of an 'On the go' tour of Turkey - three nights at the beginning of the trip and two at the end. This hotel is well located for the old city. The tram stop is directly out the front doors of the hotel and very cheap and easy to use. The gentleman who was working the front desk most days we were there appeared a bit disinterested and was distracted. He was more interested in looking at his computer screen and berating the junior staff who were trying to help.

I stayed in a first floor room facing the street and the tram stop but had little trouble with street noise. The rooms were small but clean and the beds comfortable, although without comforters or blankets - we had to ask for these from reception. The bottles of water in the fridge were great although never very cold (the norm in Turkey, as it turned out). Bring your own hairdryer, as the one in the bathroom is circa 1968.

What really lets this hotel down is breakfast. The breakfast room is on the top floor with great views over the city but the staff working it were rude and disinterested. Breakfast itself was pretty lacklustre by western standards but you could manage for the day with cereal, fruit and toast. I would suggest avoiding the pastries as they were always soggy. Breakfast was included in our stay as part of the tour, or I think we would have skipped it all together.

All i can say is that the short midddle age manager should not be at reception, found him to be very unfriendly and when the guests asked questions, he did not give them his undivided attention and kept looking at his computer screen, perhaps the answers were on his screen lol. he had given us a small room and we had asked to change which was done and had a street view. breakfast was good and the view was lovely will i go back to ramada...no i dont think so

Spent 4 nights at this hotel courtesy of Wynham Points. It is a great little hotel located on the street car line. Our room was not on the main street side of the building so it was very quite for a city like Istanbul.
They have a turkish bath in the hotel. Very clean. It is free to use. Only 25 Euro for a scrub down.
We had breakfast on the top floor. Over priced and not very appetizing.
Dinner in the lounge was very good and fairly priced.
Staff was friendly and very helpful

WE stayed there for ten days approx. the hotel was very organized ,neat and clean. The staff was friendly and accommodating. Food that they offered in complimentry breakfast was excellent. The best thing about the hotel is the location that is Findikzade ,close to Metro .From there u can go anywhere easily.
We also celebrated our daughter's first birthday there at Kerafirin restaurant .We were also given a complimentry drop off at the airport in their chauffeur driven car.
i would love to go there again and again.

We stayed here before the start of our tour and at the end of our tour. In general, the hotel was clean and comfortable. It was in a relatively good location, with easy access to the metro/trams, which will get you quite quickly to highlights of Istanbul (try to avoid using taxis if you can to avoid getting stuck in traffic). But if you want to be in the 'heart' of some of Istanbul's main attractions, I wouldn't necessarily recommend this place.

Front Desk:
Upon our arrival, the lovely man who checked us in showed us where to go in Istanbul on a map and explained about the metro/tram system. The front desk employees were extremely friendly and ready to help, however we experienced the opposite with the dining room employees during breakfast.

Room:
The room was clean, but needs an upgrade. We were happy that the hotel provided coffee/tea making facilities and also free bottled water in our room. We did have to request for a hair dryer, because the one in the room was not very good (old!). Finally, if you are not too high up, opt to use the stairs as the elevators are slow!

Breakfast:
The breakfast was ok, not great, but what we enjoyed was the lovely views of the old city area from the dining room.

Room Tip: Try to avoid street view as it can get quite noisy, especially during peak hour. Also do request for...
