Was a great hotel, rooms were generously sized, great service, good breakfast and (Amazing) view, helpful friendly staff! But I found the hotel to be lacking soul and a little bland. And I was on a budget it was quite expensive for my liking. Great breakfast spread and terrace and the view! Breathtaking!

Room Tip: Get a room on the alley way side otherwise you get a 30cm distance to a brick wall and no fresh air...

This was a great Hotel to stay. The Hotel staff was very helpful! I can not wait to go again very soon. The breakfast at the top of hotel was a great way to start the day, staff was very nice and helpful in all ways they could possibly be! It is in the best location close to many historical sites as well as close to tram for travel. I loved the city and how courteous and helpful the people are starting with the Hotel staff Great receptionist!

Very good option for first time visitors in Istanbul looking for a central location and comfortable stay within budget. This hotel is conveniently located on a discreet pedestrian street at walking distance from all main Sultanahmed historic and cultural attractions, surrounded by lively restaurants, cafés, shops, and a few steps away from the tramway station. Front desk and restaurant personnel were always nice and helpful.

Rooms are small and not too bright. Quick tip to make up for room size, walk up to the terrace and you will find the best view you could imagine. Try it at night, few things like it.

Complementary shuttle service from the airport to the hotel is very convenient.

If you are planning a trip to Istanbul , I suggest that you may consider booking into this hotel. It has one of the most premium location in the Istanbul and has got the best and courteous staff in the city. they are always eager to help and lookout for you in terms of service. The hotel is located yards away from Blue mosque and Hagga sophia. The view you get from your breakfast table is clear and close view of the blue mosque and the hotel is located near tram station so transport is easy and also the city bus tour starts right next to it.The best among the staff is Sessgin(I hope i pronounce his name correct) , he is always helpful and does a good job. So guys check out the place and hope you have a nice time.

Room Tip: rooms are small in size but based on the location ...its a good deal especially for tourists

If you're planning a trip to Istanbul, then I highly recommend staying at the Ambassador Hotel. It is excellently located in the centre of the Old City - just a stone's throw away from the Blue Mosque, Hippodrome, Topkapi Palace, Basilica Cisterns and Hagia Sophia. Other nearby attractions include the Grand Bazaar and Spice Bazaar. There's also a tram stop located right around the corner, which is great if you've had enough of walking.

The hotel itself has an amazing roof terrace with beautiful views over the Blue Mosque where you can enjoy your breakfast or some drinks in the evening. The staff were all extremely friendly and helpful which made the stay all the more enjoyable. The hotel even provides a free airport pick up service, which takes away the stress of arriving in a foreign country and having to navigate your way through the public transport system. The hotel also provided free tea every afternoon which was a lovely added touch and great if you needed a bit of a break from all the sightseeing.

Overall this is a lovely hotel to stay in and definitely great value for money!

I requested airport transfer on arrival, and was warmly greeted by the driver as soon as I emerged from the customs. The transfer was swift. Though I wasn't taken to my room straight away since I arrived early, I did get upgraded to a junior suite, which despite the size is very nice. The location is unbeatable: It literally is only a minute away from the tram station and 5 mins from Aya Sofya, Topkapi Palace and Blue Mosque. At 55 euros per night, it's definitely value for money. The only negatives are the view of the room (facing the facade of a building very close by) and some of the less friendly staff - dont get me wrong though: most staff is helpful and pleasant.

We booked the airport transfer, which is always a worry that things may go wrong, but the driver was waiting and it only took us 30 minutes to get to the hotel.
The hotel is up a small alleyway and would be hard to find if you're not going to use the hotel transfers.
Our room was very nice and spacious, tea and coffee making facilities in the room and a mini bar. We booked the Deluxe room so there was a bowl of fruit and a bottle of wine waiting for us.
All the staff were great and very helpful, nothing was too much trouble. The lad on reception (sorry didn't get his name) gave us a map and spent about 20 minutes showing us where everything was and which way to get too see it all.
The breakfast was great a good selection, and because the hotel is small it wasn't the usual bun fight.
