Thıs hotel was our fırst vısıt to Istanbul. The servıce was the best that I have come accross ın a long tıme. The rooms and restaurant were excellant. Locatıon could not be better for a tourıst ın Istanbul. Blue Mosque and Grand Bazzar just a stones throw away.

Workıng ın the aırlıne busıness I travel a lot and I am deffınatelt spreadıng the ınformatıon regardıng thıs hotel both to staff and travellers. Hotels rates are very attractıve and the staff are very warm and helpfull. Wıll defınately use thıs on my next vısıt to Istanbul.

Ambassador hotel is situated at Sultanahmet walking distance to everything..Friendly staff, (Ben , Nouray , Ozgur , ) brilliant service, bugdet hotel, well worth the price paid for, wasnt expecting this class & quality for the price I paid. Would definatley come back Ambassador , would 100% recommend. Nice, modern & airy, tram lines right next to hotel, nice view, went to many places in the 3 days I stayed, didn't have to use us transport as everything was a short walk away. well location!!! . The downside is that this area is sooooo Tourism-orientated that the men in front of all the shops drive you crazy trying to lure you in in their Shops & RESTAURANT ... What I did during the day there is: put your sunglasses on so you don't make any eye-contact, this worked very well for me!!! ;-D I didn't like hanging around in this area in the evening because of this very same fact, that's why I always went to Ortakoy or Istiklal Taskim in the evening where you don't have this problem and where you will get the chance to see the 'true way' of how the Istanbul-people enjoy their evenings & nights!!! I had a fantastic holiday!!! :-I will stay here agian when I come to visit Sultanahmet again.

I spent 8 days/seven night at Ambassador Hotel from 5 to 12 October 2011, my arrivals was at night coming from Paris. The hotel managed a shuttle for me and i was directly and kindly moved to the hotel who is - for me - at the best place in Istanbul , between Aya sofia and The blue mosque. The personel is very cooperatif and well informed of ood activities in the town, all of them are multilingual and giving good advices and best prices for trips and events. Rooms are confortable and very clean, as well as the rest.

The terasse retaurant where the free breakfast buffee is held every morning seems to be a part of a dream with an overview of the see, mosques and the old city.

I realy recomand this hotel to the visitors of istanbul and wish a nice journey for them.

Reservations were made easy by email. The hotel is in super location. Every member of the front desk staff (Bunyamin) are knowledgeable and very helpful 24/7. Room maintenance staff is very good and courteous. Restaurant provides excellent buffet breakfast and good service each morning. Wonderful food, wine and terrace with an awesome view on which to dine in the evenings. Nice exercise room and Turkish bath with massage are great. The staff at the Hotel Ambassador made our experience in Turkey a wonderful experience.

the location of this hotel is great, with it hidden from the main street but just 2 minute walk to the sultanahmet tram stop. there's also a good kebab shop at the bottom of the street which opens till late in summer.

as for the hotel, the people at the reception were helpful, but i wasn't very happy with the ammenities. the a/c broke down, and it wasn't helping this was peak summer. once they got it to work again, which took a day, it still wasnt that much cooler.

also their morning breakfast spread is the same everyday, and sanitary wasn't at their top priority.

i do like that hotel, but it would still need to brush up on these few things so their guests have a more enjoyable stay.

Room Tip: Check the rooms before moving in. The rooms are rather small.
