“Awesome location”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 29, 2013

Just a few hundred meters from the Blue Mosque, Hagia Sophia, Topkapi Palace, shopping and restaurants. Staff was very helpful with transports and some luggage issues we had at the airport. Breakfast was very good and the view from the balcony patio was even better.

I can't say enough good things about this hotel. Best breakfast in Old Town Istanbul on the roof overlooking the Bospherous Strait, fresh squeezed OJ, rooms of adequate size, reasonably priced, and very, very friendly and helpful staff. It's situated on a side street within walking distance of many restaurants, bazaars, major sights, etc. Happy hour on the roof every evening and free wifi on the roof, reception area, and in the rooms. Pickup from the airport was efficient even when I missed my connection in Heathrow and had to email them with my much later arrival time. Would I stay there again? Absolutely... and nowhere else.

Room Tip: Rooms at the back are a little quieter.

We stayed here last summer and again a couple of weeks ago. Sebnem Hotel is a perfect spot for us.. very relaxed and low key.
Breakfast is served on the rooftop with many homemade cakes and cookies. Drinks are also available for purchase and the rooftop stays open late.
The gentleman who runs the upstairs is wonderful..
Fresh fruit at night and a wonderful birthday cupcake complete with sparkeled candle for our breakfast celebration..It's not fancy but perfect for traveling with friends.

We visited Istanbul twice and stay in SebnemHotel this time . No regrets at all. It was really a great place ,in the heart of Sultanhamet ,justy behind Blue mosque and Aghia Sofia ,and near Topkapi and all the important sites to see
The hotel is plus a bed and breakfast than a hotel ,the rooms are very clean and at night ,very silent ( it is in a little way with no cars) There is no restaurant in the B&B, but many of them all around
The breakfast in the terrace is incredible, you have all you can imagine to start a beautiful journey in this incredible city of Istanbul
Do not hesitate to stay in Sebnem Hotel, you won’t regret !!!

Room Tip: Second floor is better

Stayed there with my Mum for 4 nights in April 2013. Booking by email was nice experience, super friendly and efficient. Airport transfer was fine but was a bit disappointed when we arrived as the twin room was quite cramped for 2 people, and not much surface area to put stuff. Kept hitting head off shower door it was that small, and no hooks etc on bathroom doors, However, next morning met the charming Matin who served us delicious breakfast on sun-drenched roof top terrace, gorgeous. Location was v handy for touristy stuff, but I'd say if I returned I'd stay outside this area just to get a better feel for the other more 'authentic' side of Istanbul, perhaps in Beyuglu. Wifi worked well and staff there 24/7 at reception. Apart from size of room, liked this place a lot.

Room Tip: Avoid number 16!

I stayed at the Sebnem with friends on their first visit to Istanbul and Turkey, and couldn't have asked for a better place for them to enjoy some good, friendly but not overwhelming Turkish hospitality. The breakfast was excellent and beyond expectations while the breakfast rooftop area (even on wintry days) was a great place to relax and plan the day.The rooms were small but still had everything necessary, which for those older buildings is a feat. And it was warm in some very cold weather . The location is excellent being just a bit back off the main street but so close to Topkapi and Aya Sofya and all. It became our home for a couple of days, thank you guys!

Room Tip: Ask for upstairs.

Great hotel, very close to tourist areas and tram T1, very clean rooms, perfect beds, breakfast on the terrace with the view is simply fantastic, fresh juices and nice home made cakes, the staff is really nice and helpful, they arrange airport service and hammam reservation in a very short time,we really enjoyed our stay and would like to recommend it to everyone. A special thanks to Mr.Cappuccino! our son will remember his breakfasts for a long time!

Room Tip: Triple room is quite small, in the ground floor, quite even if directly on the street
