Highly recommend this hotel, based on the following criteria:
-Location: If this is your first time in Istanbul and you want to stay in the Old Town, then this location is great. It's only a five minute walk to Hagia Sophia, the Blue Mosque, or Topkapi Palace. It's right off of a main drag of similar but good restaurants catering to tourists, but it's tucked down a side street so it's nice and quiet.
-Staff: There is always someone at the front desk, 24 hours a day, so you know that it's a secure place, and there's always someone there to help you or answer questions. They are extremely nice.
-Room: We had the garden room, 202, and it was divine. Not a large space, but it had plenty of room for what we needed. It was very clean; the bathroom was well-stocked and always tidy, plus the garden was awesome, and a great place to read, or to open the windows and get some breeze in from.
-Others: The rooftop terrace is amazing--breakfast up there is super delicious (and included in the price), and the view of the Bosphorus and the Sea of Marmara is beautiful.
Overall, I have zero complaints about this hotel, and would highly recommend it to anyone looking to stay at an affordable but really solid place in a great location in Sultanahmet.More
