“interior was breathtaking”

so - if you only have time to see two mosques, i would put this and the blue mosques on that list.

the interior is beautiful, the colour inside is amazing. When you are in seeing all the sights in the sultanahmet you will be passing this building all the time, well worth popping in.

“The New Mosque completes the wonderful Eminonu landscape..”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 19, 2014

The New Mosque is not interesting only because of its inside architecture, but also for its position near the Galata bridge in the Eminonu square. It's so nice to see the landscape of the Eminonu in the night, with this great mosque, lighting over the Golden Horn..

“Beautiful and Peaceful”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 18, 2014

At Eminonu, near advertised Spice Bazaar this mosque does not get attention of most of the visitors. It is really very beautiful and very peaceful inside. There is a small place inside where the tourists can sit and enjoy the continuous prayer. A must visit place in Istanbul. It is recommended to dress properly when inside the mosque.
The Spice Bazaar is just by the side of the mosque, and behind the mosque there is a good restaurant to explore. Even in evening hours one can sit at the steps of the mosque and enjoy the pigeon, the people around. My daughter even made a friend there and they gave exchanged bracelets. very peaceful place.

“Worth the visit if passing by”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 8, 2014

Not musch to say really - it is a mosque that is not on the scale of Suleymaniye or the Blue Mosque. It is however big - if you are the Bosphorus tours terminal or by the Spice Market then pop in

“Beautiful decorations”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 5, 2014 via mobile

Many tourists visit the area of this mosque (it's between the Eminönü piers and the spice bazaar), but apparently only few of them go inside. It's a pity: the internal decoration of this religious building is maybe the most beautiful in Istanbul. Well, tastes are different - I liked it very much, anyway.
