“keep an eyes on Istanbul”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 3, 2014

The beautiful coast with all those construction and boats make the tour enjoyable and 2 hours pass so quickly. You can drink and eat inside and there is English audio for the explanation. You realize how big and historical is Istanbul.

“Definitely worthwhile”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 20, 2014

I visited Istanbul in December 2013. This was an amazing experience. I included the Bosphorus afternoon evening cruise. A on board meal was provided .the deck was spacious and although it was chilly and windy we spent time to view the scenery from the open upstairs deck. There is also a closed deck downstairs with big class windows which you can use if it is too windy or cold. There are also bathroom facilities available on board. We sailed past many historical buildings and palaces which dated back many hundreds of years. There was a guide on board who gave a running commentary all the time. Just before reaching the turning point at the entrance to the Black Sea we stopped and disembarked at a small fisher mans village where we spent about a half an hour just exploring and you could also buy gifts. The cruise back was just as interesting and we reached the harbour just after experiencing an amazing sunset with Istanbul in front if us.the cost is about €45 which I thought was worthwhile for this cruise. Please include this in your program when visiting Istanbul

“Bayukada (Princess Island)”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 20, 2014

There are local ferries that you can hop onto after every hour and reach the Princess Island. Enjoy a Tonga (horse drawn carriage) ride through environmentally friendly town as it does not permit vehicular traffic to limit pollution. After a not so steep climb to the Monastery of St. George built around 1000 A.D., one can have food at the local cafe atop the same hill. The view of other islands around is the free accompaniments you will get.

“Bosporus Public Excursion Ferry - great value to see east mets west”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 19, 2014

What a wonderful way to see Istanbul for 25L for over 3 hours travel on the Bosphorus Public Excursion Ferry. The ferry leaves from the Eminonii quay and you can't miss the terminal and ticket office. The trip is a bargain and is a must do while in Istanbul offering wonderful sights down the river while experiencing both the Europe and Asia sides of this vast city. The cruise also allowed persons to get off at any stop and they could then catch the boat on the way back or could catch a bus back to their destination. If you go to the last stop one can walk for 20 minutes up a steep road to the ruins of a castle that offers magnificant views of the Black Sea. Allowing for this there is still plenty of time for lunch at one of the many restuarants on the waterfront before the ferry heads back to Eminonii.
