“Good for a fast visit”

At the center of Beşiktaş, this is a museum I always like to visit when I have time. It's a small museum and can be visited in under an hour.

“interesting”
Reviewed June 24, 2012

the maritime museum offered a captivating synopsis of the rich history of Turkish naval presence on the high seas! Interesting is the story of how a Sultan chained the Bosphorus Strait in order to avoid being invaded by foreigners

“Time is better spent here than at the nearby palace”
Reviewed January 4, 2012

Very informative about Turkish leaders as well as all things Naval. It would help if they had more docents with a little more English for those of us not versed in Turkish who want to ask questions.
