This is a lovely hotel with a very good restaurant and helpful staff. Our room had a view of the Bosphorous but wasn't noisy. The bathroom could have been bigger and the armoire as a closet wasn't very practical but all in all I would go back.

Had 2 nights here after last staying here in 1978. It was great then, and better now!
A great room, lots of friendly staff and a very good breakfast.
A very fast and free wi-fi service was a nice touch.
We like the location as it's an easy, if not sometimes quite steep walk, in any direction.

I stayed at the Pera Palace with my mother for a few days in October this year.

The hotel staff were attentive and polite throughout, and we had a really good time.

My only gripe was that the coffee served at breakfast was filter coffee and not from a French press. The tea served was also not freshly brewed.. This might sound silly, but when you take into account the price of rooms, you expect nothing less than 5 star quality across the board... I've stayed in Band Bs that have better attention to detail at breakfast time. In addition, being in Turkey I was expecting lovely fresh figs at breakfast, especially as they were in season during our stay. Unfortunately none were on offer. I know hotels have to cater for international guests, but they could have 'bigged up' the Turkish influence a bit more.. Why would I want croissants and bacon (!) when I'm in Turkey?? More halva/baklava please!!

Exquisite hotel, great history, attentive staff, beautiful decor and facade, clean rooms. Nice breakfast, great cocktails. Worth a stay! Whilst it may not be close to the historic area, its really not far away.

Was here for a week on a business trip and would really recommend this hotel. Excellent breakfast buffet, great service, nice rooms. Best to take rooms on the upper floors as there can be some noise from the streets.
