Pound for pound (or lire for lire) one of the best city hotels I have stayed in.
The location is fantastic and is walking distance to the Topaki Palace, Blue Mosque, a good selection of restaurants, and the seafront.
The breakfast is simply awesome with an excellent range of local Turkish cheeses, pastries, olives, salad, fruit and yoghurt. Also look out for tea in the samovar...and make sure you dilute it with plenty of water!
Breakfast is taken on the roof terrace which has superb views of the Blue Mosque and sea. We also had an evening meal one night on the terrace. It is quite pricey by local standards but the quality superb and well worth if you want to spoil yourself one night. Alternatively the terrace is a great location for a pre-dinner cocktail or a nightcap.
The rooms are very tastefully decorated and the beds very comfortable. The view was not the best then why not just go to the roof terrace and have an Efes,
I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone staying in Istanbul
