My wife and I were recommended this hotel through a friend for four nights and were warned that the rooms were relatively small, but they were very nice, and more than suitable. For the most part I agree with the two earlier reviews, but would add the following. Ask for a front room as we did if you stay on school mornings, as you will be best located to avoid the noisy cheribs at the school next door. (Having said that you will be called to prayer at ungodly hours of the morning, and i defy anyone to sleep thru that!) We found the staff extremely helpful and very friendly, when welcoming you and when you engage them, but otherwise they leave you to your devices and to be at home relaxing in the hotel. The fire is great, and nothing stops you from ripping the head off a bottle of wine or two in front of the fire. We also used the hotels recommendations for restaurants and weren't disappointed! We also felt that it was a great location for walking to all sights, restaurants and in general. Enjoy.

Overall I loved the Ibrahim Pasha Hotel; we went for new years celebrations and the weather was bitterly cold but the lovely roaring fire in the reception area gave us a lovley welcome. The staff were knowledgable and gave us a good introduction to the area, they were happy to give information whenever we needed any but they weren't very friendly generally. The rooms were nicely decorated in typical traditional turkish stlyle which i liked but we warned they were extremely small. If you are a large couple opt for somewhere else. Also there isnt much storage space so if you are staying for longer than a few days you might find this frustrating.
Locationwise the hotel was great for all the sights, we were a stones throw from the blue mosque, hagia sofia, the grand bazaar and the palace but if you want to go shopping or are looking for night life you need to get taxis across the golden horn where things are a bit more bustling.
The breakfast was typically Turkish and consisted of boiled eggs, bread, olives, cucumber etc. It was fine but nothing special.
In short I really loved my stay and would recommend this hotel for people that are there to see the sights rather than shop and party.

This is a small property in a quiet location just up the hill from the Blue Mosque - run by two very helpful gentlemen who look like brothers, but aren't. Lovely open fire just inside the front door, with comfortable chairs and lots of reading matter - a nice way to thaw out on a winter's evening, with drinks served.

Standard rooms are very small but nicely finshed with fruit and a mini-safe. It might be best to seek the "suite" rooms, which provide a bit more space to move around. Free wi-fi was good for the first day but then stopped working....

Their restaurant recommendations were excellent, they also provide useful recommendations for walking tours, the main sights are all nearby. Breakfast was simple, no fruit included...fresh orange juice cost Lira5 extra!

Transfer from the airport provided by the hotel cost Euro20 and was adequate, the van was an external contract and rather basic. The best deal came from booking direct and they provided 10% discount for Euro cash payment.

We liked the hotel and the service, but our room really was small....The open-area facilities helped make up for it and the roof top patio must be wonderful in the summer.

The Ibrahim Pasha Hotel is a charming property within about 5-10 minutes' walk from the Blue Mosque and the Topkapi Palace, along with the Hippodrome and even the Grand Bazaar. The rooms are charming, with a nice combination of Turkish decor and modern amenities, including the extremely useful wi-fi connection in every room. The staff could not have been nicer, and the airport shuttle offered by the hotel is not only very reliable but also a real bargain at 20 Euros. Breakfast is a real treat.

I can't imagine why anyone would dismiss this hotel as anything but a jewel. It is superb. I will be returning there for a week in February; I couldn't see myself booking in any place else, quite frankly.

The quality of hotel is usually evaluated by such factors as location, room amenity, price, etc. No doubt, Ibrahim Pasha Hotel is of a satisfactory standard in these respects. Especially, the location is excellent for sightseeing as well as business purpose. But, the real value of this hotel is in its kind hospitality. I was mistaken about the departure time of my returning flight and found it 1 hour before at the hotel. I was totally panicked. Then, the hotel staffs called to the airline company and asked a taxi driver to hurry up to the airport. With their help, I could arrive in time and catch the flight at the last straw. I do not forget their kind support. I believe that the real value of hotel shows when we get in trouble.

If you would like an overpriced, inauthentic hotel then you might not mind this hotel as much as we did. Booked for 4 days and thankfully, checked out after 2. There was zero Turkish charm, the staff was unfriendly with minimal effort to be helpful. The rooftop was dirty and not maintained with an obstructed view. We moved to a great hotel with lovely employees, beautiful rooftop. A place that added to the charm of istanbul rather than distracted from it like Ibrahim Pasha Hotel.

We stayed at the IP for 5 days. The hotel was really lovely. It had more of a BB feel to it and was definitely more on the quiet side. The staff was very helpful and spoke very good English. The rooms were small but,you certainly did not feel like you were in a "coffin". The room was nicely decorated and very clean. Plus they gave you a tray of fresh fruit every day. For you hipsters out there this is a great hotel but, it is not in the most liviest district that the city has to offer but, you are a short cab ride away from everything. For you hardcore tourist your are a 5 minute walk to the Cistern, Blue Mosque, Aya Sofia and Topkapi Palace!! It's fabulous. Also, the hotel does a nice cold breakfast buffet be warned though the fresh squeeze OJ (which is delightful) will cost you 5YTL. Also, they do not have an iron so, if you need to press something you will need to bring your own travel iron or have them send it to the laundry. Tesekkür ederim!
