My mom and I stayed at this beautiful hotel in Aug. We had a great time. The hotel is located downtown in Sultanhmed easy access to most of the historical places and museums. Friendly staff (thanks for the great restaurants you have recommended to us) and the roof bar is the best you can dream of facing the Blue mosque. We used to stay at the bar the early evening after a busy day for a drink before we head for dinner. The breakfast is amazing. Best of the best in Istanbul.

We just returned from a glorious stay at this very special hotel. Ideally located next to the Hippodrome, this small hotel has the level of service of a 5 star hotel but not at Istanbul's 5 star prices. Cozy and intimate, you feel like you are in someone's private home with a warm welcome!

Any question was answered, requests given consideration. Wake up to a lovely breakfast, tea anytime during the day in the lounge/room/terrace and cake and beverage served in the afternoon.

Terrace is great - spectacular view of the Blue Mosque.

If you are looking for peace and quiet, this is not the place. In the middle of everything! Then again, why sleep in Istanbul?

Standard rooms are small as in many hotels in this area. Deluxe rooms in the 05 line are worth the extra price and do not face the noisy school.

My only suggestion would be to redo the floors in the room.

Room Tip: 05 line - Deluxe rooms in the front

We have just returned from Istanbul and spent 5 nights in Hotel Ibrahim Pasha, what a lovely place. The staff were so helpful, nothing was too much trouble, offering excellent advice for venues for dinner, sites to visit and general tips, they really went the extra mile and I cannot thank them enough for making our stay so memorable. Thank you!
We travelled onto Kalkan in the South and I really don't know why people complain about the room size, we thought it was fine and compared to our hotel in Kalkan (a resort) was very similar. We found the room size ample, shower was brilliant with posh toiletries, breakfast was a million times better than elsewhere with Turkish cheeses, breads and figs.
The roof terrace is absolutely superb, ample space for around 24 people and what a view! Phew, we would have spent all night up there...Thank you to everyone at Ibrahim Pasha.

I had the highest hopes for this boutique hotel having read about in Lonely Planet. However, I didn't have a good start; the small room we were first shown to was a cell and flowers I'd ordered for my wife's birthday were not there. The hotel did upgrade us to a lovely mini-suite for a nominal €10 surcharge but I would have prefered to have avoided the necessity of this discussion. The staff reflected the very best of professionalism and friendliness like so many in Turkey but even more so. The bars roof top view is spectacular and they really should exploit this fabulous area past the sunset evening drink opportunity. Its location and staff make this hotel stay a near perfect experience, just a few rough edges.

Room Tip: Be clear about the room options before booking

Ibrahim Pasha hotel was perfect for me! I love pretty little boutique hotels! This hotel has a small rooftop bar with an amazing view of the Blue Mosque! Every night I would have a couple glasses of wine at the bar to watch the beautiful sunset. The rooftop bar is only for hotel guests which makes it really nice because it could get crowded if it was open to the public.

The hotel has a great location. It is literally a block away from the Blue mosque and is also walking distance to all the other attractions as well as the train station.

The service was also great!! Everyone who works there were very nice!!

Nice little boutique hotel in Istanbul. I took our taxi driver a little bit of time to find the hotel on the night of arrival, therefore would advice getting the hotel to organise a taxi for you before arrival. This hotel is in a fantastic location - very close to the Blue Mosque - literally a 2 minute walk away. I shared a twin room with a friend - this is my only criticism of the hotel, as it was the smallest hotel room I have ever stayed in and the mattress on the bed was not the most comfortable. However, the location, fantastic service from the staff and it's great roof top terrace made up for these issues.

There are tons of small boutique hotels in Sultanahmet at all price ranges and corresponding levels of cleanliness and service. This hotel is a bit of a splurge but is worth every penny and I would highly recommend it. It is in a great location by the Blue Mosque and other sights. The rooms are a bit on the small side but extremely comfortable and beautifully decorated, some with little balconies - you can be happy to come back to them. Nice bathrooms, good showers, very comfortable beds, and nice touches in the room like a selection of coffee table books to read, CD/Ipod player, DVD player, etc., and free wifi throughout the place. The public areas of the hotel are lovely too, comfy couches and books. I was there in summer, but the downstairs has a fireplace and seems like it would be cozy in the winter. The roof deck has a truly amazing view and is a great place for a sundowner. The staff are really nice and friendly and the place is very well run with good service across the board. Good breakfast too. They provide a map that gives some good recommendations for restaurants, shops, sightseeing, etc. and the staff are also able to give good guidance if you need any recommendations - they clearly really know and love Istanbul and are happy for the opportunity to share this with the hotel's guests. I have stayed at a lot of hotels in Istanbul and this is hands down my favorite if you are here as a tourist.

Room Tip: Worth paying the extra cost for a deluxe room if you can.
