Our family enjoyed the attentiveness of the staff who were always cheerful and anticipated our needs. The view from the breakfast room/evening bar was beautiful. The location was close to many of the sites on our list of things to see.

My wife and I recently spent 3 days at the Dersaadet Hotel and we are seriously impressed by the facility and staff. At registration we were offered apple tea and Turkish Delight as our bags were taken to our lovely room, complete with a beautiful Turkish bath. A delicious Turkish breakfast is served in the cafeteria and terrace on the buildings top (4th) floor, where in addition to the fresh baked breads and other foods you can enjoy a panoramic view from the Blue Mosque to the busy Bosphorous. Service was courteous, helpful, and pleasant during our stay, but when I developed a foot injury requiring the use of crutches just hours before we were scheduled to check out, the hotel provided me with crutches within an our of my request, and bundled my wife and I and our luggage into a hotel vehicle to deliver us to our destination nearby (where we joined a tour of Istanbul). They refused any payment for these kindnesses. Now, two days later, I am still using the crutches but will return them tomorrow as my foot has nearly fully healed. I have never met with such an accommodating, kind, and generous a response from a hotel while travelling. While I hope you wouldn't require such attention while visiting this gorgeous city, it is wonderfully comforting to know that it is available so readily and cheerfully if/when needed. I would recommend this hotel to anyone.

Very attentive staff and a great small hotel in the middle of Sultanhamet within easy walking distance of the Blue Mosque, Hagia Sofia,Topkapi, bazaars and the tram, and near many good restaurants. Bosporus views in some rooms. Nice breakfast on the terrace. This is a converted house typical of the area, so don't come expecting a Marriott or Hyatt. Those are available elsewhere in Istanbul, but this is a great pick if you want to be in the Sultanhamet environment. We would stay there again.

Room Tip: If you need extra space ask for a triple - the extra cost is minimal. Lower floor rooms with ocean v...

This is a nice place to stay if you don't require a great deal of comfort. The hotel is well located near the Haiga Sophia, Blue Mosquem, Topaki Palace, and easy walking distance to the Grand Baazar and even to the new mosque and Spice Market. You can get the tram anywhere and the hotel staff are pretty nice and helpful (although the underestimate how easy it is to find things). The breakfast is nice and the view from the room is quite lovely. However, the rooms are small and uncomfortable, and the beds are really hard. So I guess if you're not looking for a little luxury, this will do the trick. Next time, I would choose to stay somewhere a little nicer in Beygolu and visit this area.

Room Tip: Stay on a higher floor and make sure you check out the room size.

We arrived very early that day and a room was made available to us. It was too small for us so later that day they moved us to a larger room.
All the staff were very accommodating and helpful. Hotel clean great breakfast with a view of the Bosphorous. I highly recommend.

Room Tip: First floor economy rooms very small only good for one guest, two suitcases can't fit in the spa...

This hotel (converted from a former Ottoman mansion) has a great location in the Sultanahmet area, very close to the Blue Mosque, Hagia Sophia and other sites. There are several restaurants, grocery/liquor store and the charming Arasta Bazaar within a couple of blocks.
The staff is extremely friendly and helpful. 'Umit' in reception was outstanding, as were the female manager and other staff members. The rooftop has fabulous views of the Blue Mosque (esp. at night) and off the Bosphorous. The breakfast buffet was quite good.
The only downside is the small room size, small bathroom and tiny elevator.
But this is a charming little 'boutique-style' hotel. The downstairs lobby with its cozy sofas or the rooftop offer a pleasant respite for those feeling claustrophobic.

Room Tip: Pay a little more to get a room with a view, as some rooms can be quite claustrophobic.
