We spent four days at Dersaadet Hotel in Istanbul and it was a great place. The rooms are impeccibly clean, and the downstairs common area and rooftop common areas were delightful places to spend downtime. My family and I enjoyed the variety of foods availble for breakfast while enjoying the amazing view from the rooftop dining room. We were able to walk just about everywhere we wanted to go during the day; it's close to the Blue Mosque, Aya Sofia, Grand Bazaar, etc. And the extremely helpful staff takes as much time as you need to give directions and answer questions. I would highly recommend Dersaadet!

Staff provided excellent service and our room was very comfortable. Breakfast on the rooftop terrace was great way to start each day.

We stayed here for 6 nights in a cornersuite (second floor). The room was great and spacious and very clean with little bit of seaview. It was furnished in traditional style. The beds are a little bit hard and the bathroom was very smal. The hotel is situated, 50 mtr from the Blue Mosque, in a rather quiet street. There can be some noise from a carwash opposite the hotel. During the nights it is very silent. Early in the morning the mosques calls for the prayers and you will be awakend (also in all other hotels in Istanbul).

The staf is very friendly and does everything for you to make your stay very comfortable. Every question gets an answer. We had a realy good time here. The hotel has a good price/quality relation.
The man in the rooftop terrace was always very attentive and friendly and become a little friend. The breakfast was good; the choice was rather limited. When you don't like the sausage you only can take the cheese.

When we visit Istanbul again, we will choise for the Dersaaded again and will highly recommend this nice hotel.

The Dersaadet Hotel in Sultanahmet is fantastic. It has a great location, but more than that a fabulously congenial and helpful staff. Every person we met, from the owner to the rooftop cafe server, was kind, gracious, and helpful. I cannot praise the service too much. Additionally, we had complimentary airport pickup and delivery (we stayed 8 nights), and we had a 10% discount for paying in cash (any major currency accepted). The breakfasts, included in the daily rate, were outstanding, and nothing beats starting the day by looking out over the Sea of Marmara or around up at the Blue Mosque. In the immediate neighborhood are a laundry, a bookstore with daily newspapers, a bath/haman, barber, restaurants, curio/handicraft shops (including an excellent watercolorist, Kubilay Senses, who does landmark scenes), shops for bottled water and snacks, the Hippodrome, and an entrance to the Arasta Bazaar a block away. The location is in easy walking distance to all the Old City sites from Beyazit Square/Grand Bazaar to Topkapi. The tram stop of Sultanahmet (marker for the currency exchange office just behind it) allows you to take the inexpensive tram anywhere on its route. Yes, the rooms are small, but we were rarely at the hotel except for tea and sleep; therefore, size of rooms was no issue for us.

My husband and I just spent eight wonderful nights at the Dersaadet Hotel. We spent 5 nights in the Sultans Penthouse. THe room was very large with a lovely new bathroom. The view was wonderful and looked out over the whole city. We then moved to the corner suite, one floor below. This was a good size room with a queen and twin bed. I loved the rooftop breakfast with a gorgeous view.

We have travelled to many parts of the world and stayed in all different kinds of hotels. The Dersaadet really sets itself apart because of the wonderful staff. They simply cannot do enough for you. Every single staff member went out of their way to welcome us. My husband and I wanted to visit the leather outlet shops near the airport and were prepared to take a taxi. Instead, they arranged a ride for us with one of their taxi drivers.

I highly reccommend the Dersaadet Hotel
