We stayed at the Holiday Inn, Istanbul City for 4 nights during a recent brief trip to Istanbul. Our check in went very smoothly. We were upgraded to a superior room that provided lots of space and overlooked a residential area so was very quiet at night. We appreciated that as I like to sleep with the window open. The area where the hotel is is safe and there are convenience stores and a small supermarket to buy bottled water and other necessities very close. The tram stops right outside the hotel and once armed with our "Istanbulkart" getting around was a breeze and it was easy to return to the hotel late afternoon to rest before going out for dinner.
The hotel was spotless as was our room and bathroom. We had snacks, lunch and drinks in the lounge/cafe and found the food very good and reasonably priced. We did not try the restaurant.More
