A great hotel to be spoilt in. Fantastic pool and spa area. Enthusiastic service, luxurious rooms. Only down side is it doesn't really have a Turkish feel. Could be in a ritz Carlton anywhere...except the view reminds you.

Just got back from a wonderful trip to Istanbul after staying 3 nights at the Ritz-Carlton. You may not be in the heart of old Istanbul with the crowds and cars zipping every which way....but you can certainly get there with ease. All you have to do is go down to the lobby, then take the elevator that will take you to the salon/auto showroom (A1), walk outside and veer to the right down the hill, and take a ride on the tram. 3 Turkish lire will get you a token for a ride at the machines located on the platform. Ride just acoss the Galata Bridge to Eminönö for the Spice Market or stay on for just another 3 to Sultanamet to head off to the Blue Mosque, Hippodrome, Aya Sophia, and Topaki Palace. You can walk to the Grand Bazaar or hop back on the tram and get off at the second stop, Beyazit. But if you decide to walk along the big shopping street of Istikilal, just go out the main hotel lobby enterance, and go up the hill to the left where you will find the Cumhuriyet Monument at one end of the shoppng district. If you have any questions, the Ritz staff members there are very helpful and the hotel was our quite, peaceful haven. Simply wonderful!

Room Tip: We had a corner room with a view of the Bosphorus.

Nice luxury hotel, polite and helpful staff. Shopping heaven, magic Bosphorus and legendary Besiktas are just a few min walk away. Definitely worth staying in the Ritz-Carlton and don't forget the spa :-)

When checking in, were given a free upgrade to a Bosphorus view which overlooked Besiktas football stadium! Amazing! Literally a 2 minute walk up street to Taksim square where you have all the shop outlets & food places if the Hotels menu doesn't take your fancy, As expected an exceptionally high standard of service from the staff, Breakfast was efficient & offered a big variety, Including Pork (Bacon among others) Which was surprising in an Islamic country, but then again it's the Ritz they need to cater to others needs. All the complimentary little amenities to make it an enjoyable week. We went over for the Football & the clubs staff of Manchester United all stayed here... We had breakfast, tables away from famous faces. What more do you need to know? That should say it all. Oh & the Spa was 10/10 ;)

Room Tip: Bosphorus view, Higher floor.

My family and I stayed this August at the Rizt Carlton Istanbul for 3 nights prior to a Mediterranean Cruise. This hotel is fabulous on every level and certainly consistent with Ritz Carlton standards. We stayed on the Club Level which I strongly recommend and found this club to be one of the better Ritz clubs. However, generally speaking Ritz Carlton Clubs Levels seem to better internationally than domestic in the United States.

The rooms were extremely clean, but traditional with very comfy beds and well appointed bathrooms.

Dining was terrific, but extremely expensive.

If possible get a room with a view of the Bosphorus as having this view across the Bosphorus to Asia enhanced our stay.

Room Tip: Bosphorus view and Club Level a plus!

Quite a nice hotel from the Ritz group. Situated in a high rise block overlooking the Bosphorus with lovely views from the higher level rooms. The staff as you would expect we're very polite and efficient from a hotel of this quality. The location is quite a long walk to the main part of central Istanbul but only a few minutes walk from the main square and shopping street.

Room Tip: Try to get a room on the higher level overlooking the river.

I want to thank the Ritz-Carlton for recommending Arresta Bazaar and By Moses for shopping. Thanks to our lovely conciege named Filiz. She spoke great English and provide exta specail service whiel we were there. She provided tips that were so unique and special. We got to expereicne wonderful resturants and shopping and felt like she treats everyone as if they are the only guest she is attending to. This is hard to be so welcoming and show this level of professionalism and hosptiality. Thanks to her our trip was very special.
