“Why did I wait so long to see this?”
Reviewed January 10, 2013

This museum is huge and very well organized. You can spend one hour or four hours or all day. I didn't do the audio tour, but I wish I had. Well worth the 10 lyra entry fee, and the Tiled Museum, also fantastic, and Ancient Orient Museum are also included in the ticket price.

“Nice place, nice things to see...”

I was amazed at some of the things they have out in the open in this museum. There are so many awesome artifacts to see and so much history to be told.

“Kind of boring, but some really impressive items”
Reviewed January 7, 2013

A large portion of this museum is very dry and lackluster, but the Mesopotamia/Egypt section had sections of the Ishtar Gate, clay tokens with Cuneiform written on them, and the famous peace treaty signed between the Hittites and Ramses II. The import of those items is very impressive, but if you're not interested in said artifacts, the museum can and should definitely be skipped.
