“Rustem Pasha Mosque”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 21, 2013

The Rustem Pasha Mosque was designed by Ottoman imperial architect. The Rustem Pasha Mosque is famous for its large quantities of exquisite Iznik tiles, that’s what differentiates this mosque from the others as No other mosque in Istanbul makes such a lavish use of these tiles. The mosque is quite old as it was built around 1561 until 1563. It’s not as large as the Blue Mosque or the Suleymaniye Mosque; it is nonetheless impressive and welcoming.

“,as a mosque, one of my favorites”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 20, 2013

I wonder why all the tourists are trying to visit Blue Mosque, if you are not in a hurry, you can enjoy spending time in Rustempasa Mosque ,and architecturally much better ( small size mosque)

“The Rustem Pasha Mosque”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 19, 2013

Close by the Grand Bazaar, the Rustem Pasha Mosque offers a space of tranquility in all the busy-ness of the nearby Grand and the Spice Bazaars. It is beautiful, with its Iznik tiles depicting tulips in numerous formats. Not as large as the Blue Mosque or the Suleymaniye Mosque, it is nonetheless impressive and welcoming.

“Better than the big touristy mosques”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 19, 2013 via mobile

Right next to the spice market, this mosque with a beautiful interior is a great find. Come see this! They were even a bit less strict about attire than the other mosques, as well.

This is a little jewel ensconced one story above a bustling marketplace. Studded with colorful Iznik tiles.
