Owner description: One of the smaller mosques in the city, it was built by Rustem Pasa in 1561 and is noted for the very fine tiles covering the interior and exterior walls.

This little mosque requires a bit of effort to find, but is so worth that effort. It is on the upper floor of some shops near the Spice Market. The tiles are exquisite, the best we saw and the guardian was very friendly and helpful.

This mosque is an undiscovered treasure. FREE to visit and absolutely lovely. Small in scale, but more blue Iznac tiles then the famed Blue Mosque. Near the Egyptian bazaar, one level up from street. If you love tiles, this is a must see!

Another Sinan masterpiece inlaid with thousands of the finest quality Iznik tiles. The interior is lovely. Closed during prayers for about 30 minutes but worth the wait if you go. Free copies of the Quran outside in paperback. I had never read it.

It's hard to find but worth it when you get there. Small and intimate with magnificent tiles. Makes a change from the better known larger mosques

The tiles inside and outside of this mosque are as good as the guidebooks say. It is a neighbourhood mosque with a totally different atmosphere to the major tourist attraction of the Blue Mosque and worth visiting for that reason too.
