We passed by this mosque spontaneous after visiting Pierre Lotti. Really interesting visit with very few tourists. Explore a bit the alleys outside the mosque, there's a place that sells sheep.

Oppurtunity to pay tributes to one of the Companions of the Holy Prophet (Sallallahu Alayhe Wasallam) is a spiritual experience. The complex is small yet nicely maintained by the Turkish government.

The Eyüp Sultan Mosque is the holiest site in Istanbul and one of the most sacred places in the Islamic world.

The tomb of the renowned Companion of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) Hazrat Ayub Ansari, at whose place the Holy Prophet (PBUH) first stayed when arriving in Medina. You can say prayer at the mosque and at the outside wall of the grave and the tomb. no collection of sand or nudging on the walls etc is allowed.. Only silent prayers of peace.

Another mosque that is definitely worth making the trip to see.

This is one of the oldest mosques and sits at the hills of the Golden Horns Cable Cars.

I would also suggest that you take the ride up the cable cars and then walk the streets of Eyup. You'll be very pleased.
