Very huge and amazing place. Please set aside atleast 4-5 hour for Topkapi and Harem. Harem a must. The mosaic we saw there were out of this world. Topkapi and its ground itself is nice. But lots of queue inside..for example to see the armory etc. Nice spots to take pics of the strait also.
The palace is awesome. You could stay the entire day at the palace, if you wish. Totally worth to take a city tour guide, who knows the best places to see and what to go through, otherwise you can get lost and end up not seeing the important parts. It coasts 40 liras (15 dollars) to get in the palace. The best part is the Harem, which coasts more 25 liras (8 dollars). Every part of it is perfect.
It is the ottoman empire palace for over 400 years. It is full of history and tells a lotbof stories. It has also very nice views to the bosphoru.
Several parts we wanted to visit were closed
Entrance is quite expensive especially when areas closed
