“Epic, but currently under severe restoration.”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 23, 2013

The massive scaffolding in the centre of the Church is obviously there for a good reason but it does tarnish the experience. There is a fair chance that if you know of the Hagia Sophia then you are going to go irregardless of any tripadvisor review. Definitely worth seeing but beware of the current renovating situation.

“Surreal Experience”

I can't compose enough sentences to do justice to the legendary building. With great architecture and super really great history, the trip will be worth every penny!

Just in case you're really tight on schedule (or budget for that matter), no need to enter the museum itself, just have a look on the outside structure would do. Just don't forget to take loads of photos! One of the angle I like would be standing just outside Sultanahmet Mosque, overlooking the garden (Sultanahmet Meydani?) and all.

“Historyc”

Well, this place must be seen. It's about 8 euro to enter, there nothing reeeally special inside but still it must be seen. It's one of the biggest churches ever built, and it's awesome to see how the different styles have been mixing in the building. It's majestic even from the inside. One of the cornerstone of Istanbul's charm.
