“Magical”
Reviewed November 20, 2012

This is one of the most amazing places in the world from outside and inside the building. The feeling being in the building is so different than being in Vatican. Before Vatican this was the centre of of Rome and the only church of Catholic church and in my opinion Hagia Sophia still carries the crown. You can only understand once you have been in here so it is a must journey to Istanbul to see and feel what I am trying to say; don't delay..

“Worth the long lines to get in”
Reviewed November 19, 2012

Lots to see and fascinating once you get in. Make sure you go up to the gallery where you get much closer views of the frescoes. Main downside was the long line to the ticket office.

“Beyond Words”
Reviewed November 19, 2012

The long lines initially scared us away but they moved surprisingly fast and once inside it was all worthwhile! The size and grandeur is beyond words. We spent hours exploring and just simply taking in the scale of the building.

“wonderful.”

Get one of the real guides on the inside. Worth it. A cool mix of history and one of those places you'll see in movies for the rest of your life.

“Made me cry”
Reviewed November 19, 2012

This church/mosque/museum's architecture is almost unbelievable. It was a special place and I am thrilled to have seen it. The mosaics are on the second floor. Be sure to go see them.
