“Beautiful”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 5, 2012

There are massive lines to get into Hagia Sophia, so I recommend joining an organised tour who get priority entrance. I found Hagia Sophia more amazing than Blue Mosque, simply because of the set upon the low hanging lights and intrinsic detail along all of the walls. Take a good camera - there are plenty of great photo opportunities!

“Amazing place! A must see no matter what your religion is!”

It's a unique and almost mystique experience to visit a building that belongs to two great religions at the same time. Very well preserved and catered for. Magical place

Stunning architecture and history. The organised tour we went on added little to the visit, go it alone!

“The most beautiful church in the world”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 5, 2012

Yes you can say it’s a Museum but really is a church, and in my opinion the most beautiful church in the world. The Christian frescos are breaths taking, the church is very old, but you can still envision how it was in the times of Constantinople. The lighting is perfect given the mosaics and frescos a more serene look. When you enter the church the huge arches are very impressive showing an architectural master piece and you can see how through the years the church had evolves when Muslim religious symbols become intertwining with the Christian frescos given the entire place an amazing feeling, where people of all religious backgrounds can pray or meditate.

“A World Class Attraction In A World Class City”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 5, 2012

I hate to call this an "attraction" but since so many people go to see the Ayasofya, I have. The place was packed!

Amazing architecture. Amazing size. We had never seen anything as grand before.

Be sure to take the stairs, stairs and more stairs to the top level for a grand view.

And another tip, you can order your tickets for this online to really save yourself ALOT of time when you arrive. Tickets are the same price and you print them. (you can also get other tickets online for Topaki Palace, Ephesus, etc.)

Very nice museum shop and cafe to rest your legs on site too. A++.
