We stayed in the Bosphorus View Suite for 5 nights and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay.
The suite was very spacious and comfortable. We had a great view of the Bosphorus. The seating area was great for relaxing after a whole day out. The amenities were great. There was even a coffee machine, no tea bags though. The bathroom was also very spacious. The shower had good water pressure.
The staff was friendly and helpful. The service was great and attentive. Umbrellas were ready at the lobby for the guests to borrow when it rained.
Breakfast was great. There was a lot to choose from. The lady who worked at the breakfast room was very kind. You could also have breakfast in your room if you want.
We love the location of the hotel. It was close to everything. There were 2 stores opposite the hotel that open 24 hours where you could get water, soft drinks and snacks. There was a currency exchange shop just a few minutes walk away. There were plenty of restaurants and souvenir shops nearby. The tram stop was just 5 minutes walk away. We walked to all the main tourist attractions including Topkapi Palace, Hagia Sophia, Blue Mosque, Basilica Cistern, Süleymaniye Mosque, Grand Bazaar and Spice Bazaar. We also walked to Istiklal Caddesi by crossing the Galata Bridge. It only took around 30 minutes.
The airport transfer service was efficient and the price was reasonable.
We will not hesitate to recommend this hotel to family and friends.

Room Tip: Splurge on the suite and spoil yourselves if it is not out of your budget.

We love this hotel. Its location cannot be beat - we walked to all of our sightseeing destinations from Elanaz, including the Aya Sofya, the Blue Mosque, the ferry terminal for the Bosphorus cruise, and the Grand Bazaar. The staff are incredibly helpful and welcoming. They arranged our laundry service, reservations, and answered many questions. Someone is always at the front desk to welcome you home. Our Turkish is pretty terrible but they appreciated our efforts and spoke perfect English. The continental breakfast has a wide range of options, including some hot. We had no need or desire to get breakfast elsewhere. Our room was clean, comfortable, and simply but very nicely furnished. The bathroom is spacious and has nice fixtures. It was a place we were very pleased to return to after a day walking around the city. This hotel was worth every bit we paid. We will return! Very highly recommended.

Room Tip: Splurging for the Bosporus view and sofa is worth it. Higher floors are significantly nicer. I think...

Stayed in the Elanaz for 4 nights following a great review from Tripadvisor. Staff treat you like an old family friend and nothing is too much trouble. Best rooms are on the top floor but ours was perfectly adequate as we were to use it as a central base to visit the top attractions. Everywhere is pretty much within walking distance or take the tram to save your legs. Don't book in here if you need a gym or pool as the facilities are limited but reflected in the price. Would book again if next in Istanbul.

Room Tip: Top floors for best views.

First time trip to Istanbul and we were very happy with our 7 night stay at Elanaz. It was in a perfect location in the historic old town, within walking distance to everything including the main train/tram stations. The service from the staff was flawless and really left a great impression on us. Our room was lovely, very clean & spacious (2nd floor facing the street). Enjoyed the toiletries and having access to a cold mini fridge in our room. Comfy bed & nice shower. The buffet self-serve breakfasts had plenty of variety and were delicious. We loved that it was a smaller boutique-type of hotel. A real feel-good experience and highly recommend Elanaz hotel for your Istanbul stay.

Like most people I read the reviews of any establishment on trip advisor before choosing and this Hotel is everything the previous reviews state.

The Hotel staff are extremely hospitable and the service is second to none and I would defy most 4 & 5 star establishments around the world to better.

The rooms are spotlessly clean and fresh towels are provided each day, they even cleaned my travel soap dish which was bit manky to say the least, now that is ahat I call service! complementary water and or fruit is also provided and the rooms also have air con which on the hot nights it is most welcome.

The location is superb as it is central for all of the main attractions and close to Bus and Tram terminals. The staff are always there to offer advice on what time to visit the attractions to avoid the queues and on which day, even a guide on how to 'haggle' at the Grand Bazzar. Their recommendations for restaurant was excellent, see my other reviews for the Imbat and Hamdi restaurants for a more detailed report.

As for Istanbul as a city we found the people very friendly and very welcoming and whilst all the restaurants and shop owners want to you visit their establishments they weren't over pushy, the only issue we had was with one Carpet salesman who did take a while to get the message.
see my other reviews for the attractions.

One thing to watch out for though is the shoe shine boys who spot the the English wearing shine-able shoes and as they go past you they drop one of their brushes and when you stop them to give it back they at first walk away then rush back as if and after thought to thank you and indicate that they would shine your shoes for free, but then you get the tale of woe in that his wife is expecting their first child and he has to pay for a Cesarean operation which cost 3500 lira and 80 lira from you would be a great help , despite a quick 'Bugger off' or words to that affect it still cost me 30 lira which is only £9 but still the most expensive shoe shine I ever had LOL.

A different guy tried the same trick when coming back from a Restaurant two nights later!

Room Tip: we had a room on the third floor and the view was fine albeit you would get a better view from a hig...

Once again, I have to offer my heartfelt thanks to my Trip Advisor "family." Thanks to the lovely reviews, we recently had five lovely nights here. I seriously have to echo everyone else. We could not have stayed in a better place. The location is awesome. We literally walked to everything. The best part was that because the hotel is so central, you can walk to something in the morning--easily return to the hotel and then go someplace different in the afternoon--come back and go someplace different for dinner. That means you can constantly refresh during the day and not carry a lot of stuff around.

The room was not huge, but had everything you needed, including robes and slippers, plenty of closet space, a large in-room safe and a huge bathroom with lovely toiletries. Breakfast was typical European (meats and cheeses), but with fresh fruits and vegetables, olives and homemade treats every day.

But, the best part was one of the best staffs we have ever encountered. Warm, friendly, helpful and full of information about Istanbul. In the five days we were there, we really felt as if we had made new friends. And, the provide Airport service for only 30 euros (for the both of us). We were met inside the airport just as soon as we came out of security.

Hotel staff was helpful and friendly. Rooms were simple and clean. Nice toiletries provided. Fantastic location, close to transportation, shops and restaurants. Breakfast was freshly made and satisfying. Loved the extra touches like the complimentary fruit and the little juice boxes for the kids.
The hotel is a bit limited on facilities. There is no gym/spa/pool. The breakfast area is in the basement and could get a bit cramped. Overall, everything was great and I'd love to go back again.

Room Tip: Ask for a room on higher floor to enjoy partial sea views.
