“It is as Good as the Reviews Say”
Reviewed May 22, 2014

Once again, I have to offer my heartfelt thanks to my Trip Advisor "family." Thanks to the lovely reviews, we recently had five lovely nights here. I seriously have to echo everyone else. We could not have stayed in a better place. The location is awesome. We literally walked to everything. The best part was that because the hotel is so central, you can walk to something in the morning--easily return to the hotel and then go someplace different in the afternoon--come back and go someplace different for dinner. That means you can constantly refresh during the day and not carry a lot of stuff around.

The room was not huge, but had everything you needed, including robes and slippers, plenty of closet space, a large in-room safe and a huge bathroom with lovely toiletries. Breakfast was typical European (meats and cheeses), but with fresh fruits and vegetables, olives and homemade treats every day.

But, the best part was one of the best staffs we have ever encountered. Warm, friendly, helpful and full of information about Istanbul. In the five days we were there, we really felt as if we had made new friends. And, the provide Airport service for only 30 euros (for the both of us). We were met inside the airport just as soon as we came out of security.

Hotel staff was helpful and friendly. Rooms were simple and clean. Nice toiletries provided. Fantastic location, close to transportation, shops and restaurants. Breakfast was freshly made and satisfying. Loved the extra touches like the complimentary fruit and the little juice boxes for the kids.
The hotel is a bit limited on facilities. There is no gym/spa/pool. The breakfast area is in the basement and could get a bit cramped. Overall, everything was great and I'd love to go back again.

Room Tip: Ask for a room on higher floor to enjoy partial sea views.

This is a lovely hotel in an excellent location. The owner and staff are attentive and helpful. Breakfast is excellent and the homemade cakes delicious. Our room was good and the bathrobes, slippers, and high end toiletries are a lovely touch. Having stayed in Istanbul before, my only negative comment is that the breakfast room is in the basement. It is fitted out very nicely but if I was there in the summer, hotels with outside terraces are nice. However, service and location make this a great place to stay.

When you are travelling with family - 4 kids in tow, and you are staying for 6 nights, what else would you expect other than friendly, cosy and clean rooms. Elanaz provided those qualities and more. Rooms are spacious and clean, staffs are friendly, courteous and attentive, ever willing to help. It is evidenced that they took great care with details - from the decor to the services they provide till the way they send you off. We are really impressed. You just feel like you are going home every time you are done with sightseeing, where you know you can relax in a cosy environment and you will be always welcome with smiles and nice gestures.
They went extra mile to help. When we required medical assistance for my son, they acted swiftly, calling the cab at the wee hours in the morning and the following day checked for us the pharmacy that is opened on Sunday.
Breakfast spread is moderate but delicious. Could still remember indulging the cake that is Elanaz speciality.
Location wise - superb. Tramline and Eminonu port is within walking distance. So do the major tourist attractions in Sultanahmet. Souvenirs shops are just around the corner. Convenience
store which is opened 24 hour a day is just in front of the hotel - again something that is very handy when you have 4 kids along.
In short, this is indeed the place to stay if you are visiting Istanbul. It is a small hotel with five star service, hospitality and cleanliness. We love Istanbul and if we have a chance to visit again, Elanaz will definitely be the place that we will stay.

I am thankful that I managed to book this hotel. When preparing for this family trip, I was interested to choose this hotel due to the great reviews from various sites. Unfortunately, I was informed that the hotel is fully booked during our travelling days. After booking other hotel, I decided to try my luck by booking through this hotel's own website. I managed to get two rooms for our family - six of us. The choice did not disappoint us at all. We were very happy and satisfied indeed. Categorized as small hotel, yet the experience - especially the hospitality of the staffs was indeed far exceeded that of the five star hotel. The rooms are clean and spacious. The breakfast spread is moderate but delicious. The location is superb. It is strategically located - within walking distance to the Istanbul's must visit places such as Sultanahmet area, Spice Bazaar etc. It is also adjacent to the tramline and even the eminonu ferry port, where one take the ferry to Kadikoy or Uskudar or Eyup or the Bosphorus Cruise.
And I have to mention this. We stayed here for 6 nights. On the fifth night, my youngest son, 5 years old got very feverish and he was shaking as well. At 2 am, we asked the staffs for assistance. They acted swiftly, calling a cab and it was there before I got my son down. I could not thank them enough for the help.
Will definitely recommend this hotel to friends, family and colleagues who will be visiting Istanbul.

We booked our room at Élanaz after cross checking ratings on multiple sites. My wife and I arrived on different flights and she took a cab but I took public transport. It is easy to miss the front of the hotel so look carefully when walking down the street. The staff was welcoming and gracious. Because of the small footprint everything in the hotel is space efficient including the elevator. Our room on the third floor was spotless and quiet eventhough it faced the street. For a first stay in Istanbul the location can't be beat. Close enough to walk to everything. Breakfast in the basement was wonderful. It was all in all one of our best experiences in Istanbul.

The hotel is incredibly central and close to the tram stop which was very handy.

The room was clean and we had a fantastic view of the Bosphorous. We were left water on our first day and fruit on our second which was a nice touch, as was a copy of the Time Out Eating and Drinking Awards magazine.

Breakfast was basic but enjoyable with some home made treats being the best options.
