Just returned from 4 day / 3 night stay at The Opera Hotel in Istanbul.
The location of the hotel is excellent in the Kabatas area where the tram runs directly into the old town together with the ferries which cross the Bosphorus.
The hotel is modern with a comfortable interior and views over the Bosphorus.
Rooms are large and spacious the bed was one of the most comfortable I have experienced.
Bathroom fitted with a rain forest shower. We had views over the pool to one side and the Bosphorus the other side. Plenty of space for storage and a mini bar/fridge.
Reception were helpful and spoke English.
The top terrace roof restaurant has amazing views, was keenly priced, good food and service we were even offered shawls to put round our shoulders as the night was a little chilly.
The only small down side was the pool didn't get a lot of sun due to surrounding building we arrived late afternoon and the pool was 80% in the shade.
Breakfast was an array of foods from cereals, yogurts, fruits to cooked dishes served in the lobby restaurant and on the lobby terrace, dishes to suit all tastes.
The whole stay at the hotel and in Istanbul proved excellent from check in to check out.More
