“Good hotel”
Reviewed July 9, 2013

Got moved here by our tour group from ramada old city

Room is good, wifi fast, a bit small room prolly 24-28 ish sqm, has tub/shower combined, toilet with bidet, toiletteries except toothbrush.

Stayed for 2 nights, blast was ok (definitely much better and much more extensive than hotels in KSA)

Room facing swimming pool, I didn't see anything interesting around hotel except a resto serving kebab etc nearby. Didn't use public transport as I was a sheep in a group, so I have no idea how to use any of public transport from hotel

Was thinking of looking for a subway Station a reviewer wrote about to go to istinje mall, but my mom was so spooked by the news of taksim clash that she begged me to stay inside. So I watched natgeo that is dubbed into Turkish. Apart from international news channels like CNN, aljazeera international and the likes, all other channels are dubbed *sigh*

If I go to Istanbul again I would choose hotels in old city. A very boring location.

The restaurant on the top floor offers a superb view of 180degrees as well as a delicious meal. Staff is friendly and offer excellent service.
The room is clean and comfortable but night time reading in bed is poor.
Although we were in a double for 2 days, only 1 tea/coffee mug was available and a second one had to be requested. The coffee sachet consumed on day 1 was not replaced on the 2nd day.

I stayed three nights in this hotel, as arranged by our meeting sponsers. Its located far away from major touristic attractions and shopping areas, as it takes at least thirty minutes by private transport to reach Taqsim square in the best conditions. The hotel is a modern one and well equipped. Its clean and tidy Unexpectedly rooms were small for average 5 star hotel. Food service was good but meals needs more diversification. The most outstanding features of the hotel was its luxury fitness centre and spa with all facilities including indoor, outdoor swimming pools with hot and turkish baths . Also there was a kids play area where children enjoyed it..
I recommend this hotel for business stays but other kinds of accomodations should be considered individually.

After reading the reviews on Tripadvisor about the location of the hotel, and the notorious taxi drivers of Istanbul, I booked a car with the hotel to pick me up from the airport as after a 20 hour flight, I didn't think I'd have to energy to hassle with getting lost and having a screaming match with the taxi driver. The Guest Relations person who arranged the car, Muruvvet ERKURT was very helpful and patient with the booking as initially, there was some confusion about the room booking. On check-in, only one guy on reception seemed to know what he was doing - Ferhay (who spoke good English). The other 2 were "window dressing". Ferhay attended to guests, answered the phone, did the room check-in while the other 2 guy stood there, not one offering to help Ferhay.
The room was ok, albeit a bit small, and our request for twin beds was not accommodated as they were full, due in part to guests being transferred from the Taksim Square area to other hotels, due to the protests which got ugly after some guests were tear-gassed! Breakfast was not as extensive as I'd read on Tripadvisor, with the same old same old being offered. A friend had dinner at the Italian restaurant upstairs and it was expensive! and very ordinary too.
I didn't see any car workshops or yards either on the way to the hotel, but all the same, didn't venture out at night for fear of the stray dogs which another reviewer mentioned.
Taxis to the Grand Bazaar was easy enough to get, but coming back, they demanded TL50 and "no meter". Finally settled for TL30 but not happy that it was not metered.
Tour groups use this hotel just for an overnighter, which is fine to just sleep, but if using this hotel for your holidays, I'd say it's not convenient. The room was comfortable enough with nothing lacking, so if you're on a tour and have to stay here, no sweat.
By the way, the next night, we spent at a hotel in Sultanahmet (old town) and there was no trouble or inkling of trouble at all. So don't let what's being reported on the media put you off if you've already booked your trip.

This was the last hotel on the list of our tour in Turkey.

Hotel: The hotel was very nice a deserving 5 star. The lobby, restaurants were nicely decorated.
Food: We only had the breakfast there and I would say the best we had in Turkey from all our hotels.
Rooms: were very small and if you prefer cozy this it but for a hotel like this I would like a decent room where I can atleast move around. The bed was great and the was also small had the necessary things.
Staff: Friendly and provided good instructions and a map.
Location: is very bad nothing around and the subway/ Metro is behind the hotel pass the a dark narrow street.
Cost: it was included in our tour.

A mall is closed by and we went there to have diner. From the hotel it was 7 Lira but coming back no one was taking us back at that cost and was asking for 10 Lira.

Good hotel, good rooms, good food, good breakfast, clean, nice facilities, but staff speaks NO english!
Terrible english speaking staff of any! Other than basic requests forguet about any other elaborate question! They will just say ...yes!
The location is not the best also!

We stayed at Titanic for a total of 3 nights either side of an On-the-Go Turkey Tour in April 2013.
The hotel was very nice but not in a good location. On the first day before the tour we caught a taxi to the old town for 20 Lira as there was little place you could walk from the hotel. For dinner, we caught a taxi to Forum Istanbul (shopping centre) for about 7 Lira each way as there was nothing really in walking distance.
The cost of the hotel was included in our tour so not sure on value but seemed expensive based on the prices displayed at the hotel.
The breakfast buffet was amazing with a very large selection of all types of food.
