“a wonderful hotel”
Reviewed December 14, 2012

a wonderful hotel
The crew of the reception and staff were all kind and polite
Ten days spent with two of my friends so wonderful
Hotel is very nearby to the Sultan Ahmed Mosque and Hagia Sophia, just a few meters to the Sultanahmet tram station and a suitable place to move to the outskirts of Istanbul
Located in a relatively quiet area, and breakfast was in the basement, but it was a clean place and the meals were delicious and also the employee was always smiling, cleanliness excellent hotel, the Internet reach all places, it is true the hotel is small but wonderful
I will return again for hotel housing and I would recommend everyone

we stayed 4 nights, arrived at 9 am and checked in the room imediately, allowed us to have breakfast on the arrival day, very easy to find. 3 minutes walk from sultanhmet tram station, the morning receptionist is great and helpful. although the breakfast room is n z basement, but clean and breakfast buffiet is good. carpet floor, large bed and sofa, minibar cooled nothing, but it was september so we didnt care. very close to sultanhmet, aya sofia, grand bazar, and 10-15 min walk to omin uni ferry station and galata bridge. 20 min walk to yani kapi ferry to bursa. you can walk to almost everywhere

We bought a Groupon deal for this place after calling them before hand to verify they had a room. We pre-paid for 4 nights, then emailed and called several times trying to book. The person answering the phone would tell us their "email was down" and to call back later to talk to the manager to book. The elusive manager, Sunay, eventually contacted us in response to our complaint to Groupon to tell us they were full during the period (we could see on booking.com they were not). It's been weeks and we still haven't received the promised refund from Turkish Groupon...

Booked ,but on arrival was told they were full-over booked but sister hotel nearby was better with bigger rooms overlooking the Bosphorous--the Bucoleon Palace.
The only room available at the BC was small (just wide enough for a double bed,not facing the water---only suites on that side and walls were paper thin---woken by neighbours talking loudly in the early hours.
The TV channel for the euro cup final disappeared at the beginning of the game and half an hour later the receptionist person could not get it so watched the rest of the game in a nearby cafe.A person in a water facing suite complained their TV did not work.Main light did not work and unable to control the AC.Position of hotel was near the Blue Mosque but a long walk to the tramway to get into the city centre---it took me well over an hour to get to the congres centre, walking, tramway, funicular and more walking. For anyone visiting the congres centre,I would advise a hotel off Taxim Square.Taxis expensive---fix a price first--dont accept a meter reading !

Room Tip: only select a Bosphorous facing suite at the back of the hotel
