“FANTASTIC”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 6, 2013

Istanbul took my breath away. Big part of our fantastic stay was this amazing hotel.
We were 5 young travellers and the hotel staff was so helpful to accommodate all of our needs, even when we added a 6th traveller and needed to rearrange the rooms.
the breakfast is AMAZING. the views from the hotel and the facilities are great, and it is decorated to an ottoman look to the tee. It is luxurious in a turkish way, and everything it walking distance form here (mind you the surrounding areas are a bit strange, and steep hills, but quite safe and the people in the neighbourhood were incredibly friendly too).

We stayed there a few months ago, and i just realized i never left a review so i came here specifically to say STAY HERE, because they deserve it. This hotel is wonderful. Cant wait to go back.

Room Tip: amazing views of the Bosphorus and the shore from the higher rooms.

its a lovely hotel, properly Turkish with brilliant views day and night in a proper Turkish area with easy access to everything a tourist needs. It was safe but the hill is steep ! Staff very helpful and kind. The rooms are unique and the breakfast etc is very good. The hotel added to our stay.

Room Tip: have a seaview room

After reading a lot of great reviews, we decided to stay there. Our experience wasn't bad --they gave us everything they had--, but we were not used to that little. The room we had was very small, no space for anything, not even for walking to the bathroom. Their breakfast was good and they tried their best to accommodate our needs. What we did enjoy a lot of the fact that we were in the middle of IT, a poor but very safe neighborhood, walking distance to everything. We felt we were actually living there, being part of Istanbul, not tourists.

Very friendly, good continental/turkish breakfast, great view.
In a remote area, but safe. Very short walks to all the main places such as markets, Hagia Sophia etc.

Why do I need to write 200 words? I was very happy and satiesfied. Lovely terasse to eat breakfast.

Room Tip: Make sure to get a room with Bosphorus View

My wife found this through Trip Advisor and as we drove in from the airport we didn't know what to expect. In many ways this hotel is a perfect example of what makes Istanbul so interesting. All classes and types of people living together.
We walked everywhere and found this to be a perfect location. Far enough to be away from the noise of the city but close enough to be within a few mnutes walk of everything.
It isn't often that your room turns out to be like the one in the picture but our room was in fact the one in the picture.
The location on the hill affords amazing views both day and night. The building itself is a wonderfully restored 1850's era mansion. It includes it's own Turkish bath (take advantage of this as much as you can) and an adjacent restaurant. Just up the street is a cafe which is part of the same and well worth a dinner.
There is an amazing rooftop terrace and a very interesting pool (although we didn't get to experience it since we were there in the early spring) which I am sure would be refreshing after a long hot day.
The staff could not be more helpful or accomodating and they truely helped to make our stay one of the nicest we have had anywhere in the world.

Amazingly friendly staff and excellent service. You feel you're home once you step in. Breakfast in the Terrace with its stunning view was the best start of every day. Food for breakfast was good and fulfilling. Rooms are clean and design is unique.
If you like walking this is a super choice hotel.

Room Tip: Economy rooms are too small for more than 1 person. Higher floors have much better view.
