we started our two week trip around turkey with 6 nights at the Maritime in Istanbul.we choose the best one . Location was convenient, pretty close to Ayasoofiya and blue muske. Rooms were small but cosy, very very clean and comfortable..When remembering Istanbul experience, only wonderful memories come to our heads.our 6 night stay at maritime were just perfect, Having met the wonderful people running this small but lovely hotel is something we will not forget, ever
... We are very grateful to Bulnet,Defene,Semih for their help and friendliness, and charming characters, always with a sincere smile in their faces, meaning they love what they do. You all truly won our affection! Our kindest regards from Tehran. We wish you the best
many thanks Samih , you give us best choice.

Room Tip: The best choice is room with see view.very nice and romantic view. enjoy it

The hotel has a good location to visit historical Istanbul. The staff is very friendly and kindly. We were greeted with a fresh fruit basket and a little gift on our arrival 07/07/2012 The room was cleaning dayly. The breakfast was excellent and variated. We received all the needed advices from the reception. On our next trip to lovely Istanbul, we will stay to MARI TIME Hotel.

Room Tip: The hotel is located on a quiet street and all the rooms with street view are very good.

It was a really pleasant, friendly and home like atmosphere during our stay in the hotel. We have been to Istanbul many times and always looked for a place where location, service and payment match. So, this is type of the hotel where you can find good service, easy going and helpful personnel, tasty breakfast, excellent location and a decent price for the services. I would recommend this hotel.

Excelent location at Sultanahmet (historical center), good prices (look for the flash sales on its website) and very dedicated personel, fluent in English. Although there are better hotels in the city, the quality/price ratio is difficult to beat. Definitely a keeper.

I highly recommend this hotel as the staff went above and beyond the call of duty to meet my needs.
I was greeted with a lovely fruit basket and a little gift on arrival 15/06/2012.
The receptionists were always willing to offer assistance or advise. Bulent was especially hospitable with a nice long chat and a cup of Turkish tea! Even the cleaning lady was an absolute sweetheart! After checking out on 18/06/2012, my luggage was kept safely and later that afternoon I was treated to coffee and a lovely piece of cake. My airport shuttle was down the road and one of the kind workers walked me and my big suitcase to the shuttle.

We booked this hotel with another couple on the same day to find there was more than 300 TL price difference. They booked a "double" room on one website and we booked a "queen" on another website. When we arrived at the hotel we discovered that there is no upgrade with the room type. We had exactly the same rooms for much different prices. The hotel owner told us it was a marketing trick they use. There is no safety locks on the doors other than the hotel lock so if you are a woman staying alone you'll need to be careful! An incident happened where someone in my party felt like they needed to lock the door to keep the desk attendant out of their room and they were unable to do so. The breakfast was ok but not nearly as good as so many other hotels we stayed at in Turkey. The rooms are clean and neat but not worth the money we spent on them. The main floor of the Hotel is very loud because the doors do not keep ANY of the sound out. The front desk clerk had friends in the hotel until well after midnight causing it to be not a very good night sleep. We checked out at 3AM to go to the airport and the front desk clerk forced us to pay twice. They did give us the money back in the end but I would not trust the people that run this hotel. They seem to be very deceptive!
