Stayed here for 5 nights, rooms a little small but otherwise excellent hotel. All the main sights are within 10-15 walking distance. The best thing though was the genuine and exceptional service from everyone at the hotel - they all seem determined to make your stay as easy and enjoyable as possible.

we stayed in Sultan Royal hotel for 2 days and really enjoyed the nice service and clean room there. Just walking distance to Blue Mosque and other site seeings and shoping center. The receptionist is very helpful and sweet. The breakfast is rich. The management is well organized. they offer me an extra bed for my kid for free.

I had a great vacation in Istanbul in July 2012! I stayed in Sultans Royal Hotel and because of its excellent location I could reach easily the wonderfull places to visit: Blue Mosque, Hagia Sophia, The Grand Bazaar, Topkapi Palace, the port ( where I took the boat for a very nice trip on the sea). The room I stayed in at Sultans Royal Hotel was clean and quiet with a big, clean bathroom and a huge bed. The staff was very friendly and polite and the breakfast was delicious. I totally recommend to choose Sultans Royal for a great stay in Istanbul! And I definitely want to stay at this hotel on my next trip to Istanbul!

Sultans Royal Hotel is a nice clean hotel with helpful staff at a very strategic location in the old city of Istanbul (Europe side - Sultanahmet). The room is small (I booked at a double room) but clean. Within 10 min of walking distance, you can reach the Blue Mosque and Hagia Sophia and the touristy Divan Yolu Caddesi. However, try to avoid the Yengec Fish Restaurant they recommended you at Kumkapi. We went there with free transport service provided by the restaurant after the hotel recommended us and helped us make the reservation. But we felt that it was a bit rip off ( a tourist trap!). It was the most expensive dinner we had in our 10 days trip in Turkey. They charged too much for the wine and fresh fish. And we were the only table that night with no other customers! Other than this disappointment, Sultans Royal Hotel is a good hotel.

i stayed at this hotel 3 nights, they were excellent. The hotel is clean and organized. It is some how small, but it gives you the feeling as if you are in your home.

the location is excellent where you can reach the sea shore and the Sultan Ahmet area in same distance.

the breakfast is good.

the people working in the receiption and kitchen are very nice and polite.

one of them, i think is called (ugor), was a very professional and very polite too, He helped me alot to get to my desired distanations in a more economic way :)

if i come again to istanbul, i am sure i will go again to this hotel.

P.S
the hotel is located in a midest of residential area, which is exellent and quiet to me.

We stayed in this beatiful Hotel for a week, so much to see in Istanbul, we were glad we had a week to enjoy everything without having to worry about time. The Hotel is perfect, so clean - we had a lovely room with a balcony - we could see the Blue Mosque and the sunsets just took your breath away. The staff just can't do enough for you every single one of them was friendly and helpful, Ersin was just great and his English perfect he can help you on anything from buying a tram ticket to where to eat, we had a lovely meal at the Fish Restaurant Karina, it's on the same street as the Hotel and really worth a visit. After a day sightseeing you really felt like you were going home.

As we were booked for 3 nights, we got a free transfer to our hotel, which was only 30 minutes from ataturk airport. We received a warm welcome from ersin and his staff and settled into our comfortable room after 20 hours traveling. But not for long! Too much to do...

The hotel was just 10 mins walk from hagia Sophia (a highlight) and the blue mosque and 15 mins to the grand bazaar. But peaceful at night as we were away from the tourist beats.

The highlights were the call to prayer in the morning and the beautiful buffet breakfast - over 20 plates of delicious local, fresh flavours.

The service was always polite and helpful and we would happily recommend this hotel to those looking for a quiet, boutique hotel close to the tourist spots in sultanahmet.

Room Tip: We had a corner room which gave us a breeze from two directions...
