“Cold but an amazing experiences”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed December 31, 2012

Picked up at hotel @ 0545h arrived to Han restaurant and pottery factory for a quick and simple breakfast then getting back on the bus and travelled to the balloons. Depend upon season and company the amount of people in the balloon can vary. Our balloon was divided into 4 sections and a total of 16 adventurers.

Before we starts to ascend a quick safety briefing about the balloon. Then up we go, depend upon the pilot you can start below the Cappodocia valley or right in the mix of it. The tour is about 1 hr and cost 160€. At the end of the tour you get a certificate and if you want you can get badges or shirt for around 50TL and of course a glass of sparking wine.

The view if the valleys are amazing and if you lucky enough your pilot may fly you close to various "fairy chimneys". For me this was one of the highlight of the Turkey tour on the western side. We were lucky that the weather was excellent; no snow, clear sky and no wind.

Definitely deserve the tag of on of the top three destination for ballooning.

“breathtaking”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed December 25, 2012

i went up with a tour group with kaya balloons and the 28 of us squeezed into one hot air balloon. one balloon has about 4 baskets so its quite of a squeeze when 7 people are placed in one. but you might be glad for this if you're going up in the middle of winter (as we did). it was freezing cold up there!! and it kinda drizzled for abit. nevertheless, its a great experience and you get a really awesome view of the Cappadocia landscape. we even saw a flock of sheep with its shepherd and a sheep dog! just be warmly dressed and prepared for the chill and you'd be quite amazed by what you se up there. after the flight we were given a cert and treated to some champagne and cake. highly recommended!!

You should try Hot Air Balloon at Cappadocia. The landscape was amazing, natural and incredible. Cost almost 200usd, but is worth it. Start at begging day and takes about 1 hour, you will enjoy the new experience that u never have before. Last, enjoy the ride.....

“Magic”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 27, 2012

Not only is the landscape around Goreme out of this world but to experience it from a hot air balloon is awe inspiring. There are a great number of companies operating these ballons but we chose Cappadocia Balloons and had a very experienced British pilot so we felt extremely safe at all times. Before your flight you are given breakfast and at the end you have a champagne celebration. This must be the top ballooning location in the world and you see 80 or more balloons in the sky at one time which makes it even more exciting.

“Awesome Experience!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 5, 2012

I'm glad that I overcame my apprehensions about riding a hot air balloon. The landscape of Cappadocia was just too amazing too resist appreciating it from a bird's eye view. To my surprise, The basket was huge! It was divided into 4 sections which can accomodate 6 persons comfortably per section. The pilot had his own section right in the center. Our scheduled balloon flight was at 5am to catch the sunrise. After a short orientation on landing position and safety measures, our balloon was inflated and we were off! Seeing the sunrise from our point view and flying with dozens of other balloons was awesome! Our pilot was friendly and made us feel safe throughout the flight. I will remember this experience for a lifetime!
