I can't say enough about this hotel, but I'll prose this based on what I thought was helpful from others:

Location - Right in the middle of Sultanahmet, where all the main attractions are located. The Blue Mosque, Hagia Sophia, Topkapi Palace, and others are all walking distance. Convenient to the port, tram station just footsteps away. You can easily reach the hotel from the airport via metro and tram.

Hotel/Room: Probably one of the cutest hotels I've stayed at. The room is nicely decorated with white and turquoise contrast. Rooms are a bit small, but was not a problem. Very clean, very safe.

Staff: Incredibly nice and helpful. A big thank you to all of them for making my Istanbul visit even more wonderful.

Breakfast: Unique buffet made fresh in the morning

Overall, I'd love to stay here again and highly recommend it. The hotel location itself is great value for your money.

Room Tip: Hotel is right behind Montana Cafe

We arrived at the Minel Hotel late at night after a long day of touring and a 4-hour ride from Cannakale. Our van had a little trouble finding the hotel but we were warmly welcomed by the staff , given a sheet of paper telling us about the attractions and our luggage was carried to our rooms. the next morning we enjoyed our the best breakfast of our 16-day stay in Turkey and were given directions to the ferry.

We enjoyed the cheerful interior, the clean rooms, friendly staff, the quiet little street and the closeness to the major sights. We would highly recommend it.

You can definitely forgive the Minel size ( small rooms ) as you will enjoy the very kind staff and the love and passione they put in their job, the rich and healthy breakfast, the very central location, the cleanliness, the overall service, the free internet connection, the overall relaxed atmosphere! Great place, thank you for everything!

The Minel arranged a transfer from Ataturk for 30 euros. We were met on arrival and the vehicle was both spacious and comfortable. We made the return journey by standard taxi for about £14, which would have been a problem if the for of us had a lot of luggage. I would probably have used the metro and tram if I had been travelling solo.

On arrival we had a walk of a about 100m to the hotel. First appearances were not great as the street in which the hotel is situated is a bit shabby, but no issue unless you don't like cats.

We had an hour wait to check in, as we arrived at 13.00. It is important to note that if you have been allocated a top floor room as we and our friends had, that it is a real considerable climb up the stairs and not for the unfit. The hotel offered to help with carrying our bags.

The rooms are very small and little room to store clothes. Ok for a night or two, but slightly inconvenient for our five day stay. The shower was good and of a good size. Air conditioning was also most satisfactory. The hotel is right next to a mosques, but my fear about being woken by the Muezzin was not realised. The breakfast served by a very cheerful lady and I thought it was pretty good.

The plus points are:
Fantastic location - Topkapi a couple of minutes walk, Blue Mosque 5 minutes, tram line 3 or 4 minutes.
Helpful staff - Irfan could not have been more helpful with advice and booking on line.
Price - 65euros per night.

Room Tip: Book early for a lower floor room unless you need the exercise

Minel hotel is a nice little hotel near by the most attractions. You can go by walk to a lot of main tourist sites but it's also close by the tram and metro-station. Also a lot of restaurants are near by. Rooms are small but have everything what you need, clean and functional. The staff is very friendly and helpfull with a lot of good informations for your stay. Also the breakfast was really great. We would book again Minel hotel - Thank you!

The location was great, few meters from topkapi palace and 300m from ayasofia and all main attractions. The breakfast was ok, the staff was cool. Hotel looks new and clean with a nice design (white and blue style). It is also so close to the metro station, you can even go by walk to the galata bridge (25min).
The pros: location+clean+new
The cons: tiny rooms+not reachable by car (but close to a street)

Room Tip: The hotel is not reachable by car, you will have to make sure your taxi knows the location
