Hotel Bazaar is very good hotel . Breakfast also is good. Nice and helpful staff. The location is good for using local transport system and the street was a little bit busy. There is no pool and sauna, But overall the hotel was nice and clean.

The positive about this hotel is the location as it's just a few minutes walk to the grand bazaar and the spice Market and is nearby lots of good cheap restaurants. We also had the cheapest beer (5 TL) in several of the other hotels in the area (the bar in our hotel was closed even though we were told the hotel was full and it was only 8pm). We were given a room right by the lift which was extremely noisy. We asked to change but it was not possible. We nicknamed one of the hotel staff 'Manuel' as he did absolutely everything and was very polite and helpful and worked very hard which was in complete contrast to the hotel manager who only seemed to know the word 'No'. The breakfast was very basic but there was a lot if it and it was constantly being refreshed. The breakfast room was very small so it was pot luck if you got a seat or had to wait.

Room Tip: Ask for a room away from the lift as it is very noisy.

Positive feedback about our stay at the Hotel Bazaar
- The breakfast selection was decent in both quality and quantity of food available
-Rooms were turned down once per day and it was clean and tidy when we arrived
-Internet was available in the rooms and it was a decent speed
-location of the Hotel is by far the best aspect of staying there, right outside the building is the tram station, down the road were busses available. To get to the Blue Mosque, Topcapi, Basilic Cistern and Hagiasofia was just a 10-15 minute walk away from the hotel.

Negative feedback about our stay
-We saw a huge rat rub across the floor when we checked in
-Staff are rude and un accommodating ( we even got a semi scolding from the reception staff cause they read our booking receipt wrong and they booked us in a new room and not the allocated room.
- maintenance of certain areas of the room were really bad.

Overall the stay in the hotel was okay as the negative aspects of the hotel was overshadowed by our overall amazing vacation and the good location of our hotel. You probably cant expect good customer service at a budget hotel.

good ,kind staff ,great value for money and good location, located near transport links , i.e. airport shuttle bus, tramway, buses and adjacent to very lively shopping street, restaurants etc. Staff and service good and helpful - room very clean. We only booked a standard room so it was just a little bit tight for space with a smallish bathroom but it was perfectly adequate. Lovely sunny restaurant at top with good breakfast

The hotel is very well located; it has easy access to trams, metro and taxes. I found waking is the best way to get around and finding shops in the back streets.
The staffs at the hotel are good and helpful but limited English.
The rooms are good size and are clean.
The nose level at night was very high in the hotel when I was there. I think that was just bad luck!
The room next to me had a family of Arabs that had 7 children all under the age of 10 years old. It was a nightmare.
I did ask to be moved but hotel was full.
Just some advice: if you are staying at any hotels in this area avoid buying any drinks from the hotel. The price is in US Dollar or Euro and is very expensive just for a can of cola is $6. Simply uses the supermarkets that are very near the hotel. You will save a lot of money this way.
Restaurants are abundant and the food is good.
Avoid paying in US Dollar or Euro because they never give back any change. This will cost you a large some of money by the end of the trip.
Finely, be very careful when using taxes they will swindle you at every opportunity keep your eyes open.
I went to the British embassy 3 times from my hotel the fist time it cost 9 Turkish liras second times it was 11 Turkish liras and third time 58 Turkish liras. I got out of the taxi and said to the driver I was calling the police, he just shot off very quickly.
Do your research before travelling and you will have a good time.

Room Tip: The room at the front of the hotel have a good view but in very noisy because of the main road. Avoi...

It's located pretty well with direct access to the tramline at Laleli/University stop, but the rooms are the size of a shoebox and the 'view' they brag about everywhere is of the surrounding buildings' satellite dishes if you're high enough up, otherwise it's of the surrounding buildings' walls! They have no 'balcony' at all - what they are referring to is the minute landing of the fire escape which you have to access by walking down a corridor and using an external door, not even from the room! They charge the earth for a bottle of water (2 USD!) and offer no help with luggage or anything else. The breakfast is pretty good though and the dining room staff very friendly. The manager unfortunatey is not. Everything in the rooms and bathroom is very clean and newly refurbished, but they really are very, very small rooms with no space for a chair or any other piece of furniture expect the beds, and those had to be turned 90 degrees to walk past. There's a safe in the wardrobe and free wi-fi though. Do NOT believe any of the photos you see of this hotel - paper is very patient in this case. They are expensive for what you get.

Room Tip: There is none, avoid it if you can

The room and bathroom have sleek, modern decor and clean. The room I stayed in was small as the big bed took up much of the space; It wasn't that big of a deal for me, except that the guy at the front desk told me that I had a "big room".

My room was on the lobby level and only a few feet away from the front desk and the waiting area. That wasn't so good as I could hear the front desk conversations and people checking in and out. The bathroom had one almost all used-up roll of toilet paper and no extra roll in the room. I thought that was kind of an odd detail to be overlooked for such a fancy looking hotel, but maybe the cleaning staff just forgot to replace it.

Of the three people at the front desk that I dealt with, I thought two of them could be friendlier.

Another minor point off for me is that the hotel is really not that close to the downtown historic area. I mean it's easy and straightforward enough to hop onto a tram to get there or walk down there, but there is a relatively good distance to cover. Keep that in mind if you need to be in an area downtown at a certain time.

A plus was the great breakfast buffet. I stayed in this hotel at the end of a two weeks trip in Turkey and this was the best breakfast that I had. The variety of food was great. In addition to the usual cheese, meet, and bread that you get in all hotels in Turkey, there were also baked dishes like eggplants and tomatoes that were delicious. The view from the top floor restaurant onto the Phosphorous and the ships was beautiful as well.

Room Tip: I would stay away from the rooms on the lobby level that are close to the front desk and the waiting...
