“Beautiful garden and great breakfast”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 8, 2012

很可爱的酒店 花园布置特别用心 怪不得叫GARDEN HOTEL

A very lovely hotel with beautiful garden layout .
Breakfast is very rich ,their fruits are the sweetest in our whole Turkey journey.
there is a black and white cats looks particularly good with the boss of hotel.
My friend was also up a suite in the attic, the feeling of the Cinderella fairy tale triangular roof is quite lovely.
The location is very good .So if you forget something or feel tired, hot, adjust back to the hotel is very convenient.

We stayed twice in July 2012 for a total of ten days and everything was great . The rooms are spacious and cool ( especially the courtyard view balconies ) and the garden is a peaceful world of its own for a drink , a meal ( food is excellent ) or a read under the huge old walnut tree . The staff have good English and are very pleasant and helpful on all levels . The location suited us perfectly - about a 10 minute interesting walk away from all the action around the Blue Mosque area .The free shuttle pick-up from the airport ( which patiently waited while we dealt with a missing suitcase ) is a brilliant way to get there after a long flight . The surrounding area is very old - town community with some small shops and local restaurants ( Tarihi Cesme and Stone House our favourites ). We will definitely stay there again next time .

Room Tip: Courtyard garden view excellent

Highly recommended!

I stayed with my family for a week in June 2012. The hotel is in a great location, in the sultanahmet district, with easy access to all the main attractions. The rooms are very nice and clean and the hotel offers a quiet, relaxing place to retreat from the tourist life.

The hotel staff were very warm and friendly. Service was altogether very good. They could tell us many interesting things about the various neighborhoods of Istanbul and offered us great suggestions about restaurants, guided tours and places to visit.

The food was also excellent, especially the "wine and cheese" evenings. Lunch and dinner are also available. You can choose between standard cuisine and typical Turkish dishes.

In short, we were very satisfied. It was a very nice week in Istanbul and we are planning to stay here again!

We booked here on good Tripadvisor reviews and we weren't disappointed. The location is good for the old town tourist attractions, Blue Mosque, Aya Sofia, the cistern etc, and the tram isn't too far away either. Some nearby streets are a bit scruffy but not at all threatening or unsafe.
We were in the annexe, and the rooms are recently renovated, and have excellent bathrooms and modern effective and QUIET aircon, so you can have it on at night. Our room had the slightly unusual feature of a picture window between the shower and the bed area, though there are louvres for the shy! Complementary fruit, bottled water, and a bottle of wine on arrival.
Staff were helpful and pleasant, please tip the cleaners when you leave, they're lovely.
Wireless internet was free if a bit slow sometimes.
Breakfast was included, and exceptional - loads of lovely fresh fruit, reasonable breads, cooked eggs if you wish, and reasonable coffee. Copious juices, chilled water, and some more unusual choices like olives and brightly coloured luncheonmeat-like slices. No bacon [obviously]. Can be eaten in the covered area [ aircon on hot days ] or outside.
We ate dinner once, thought it was ok but not brilliant so tended to eat down the road at the nearby Tarihi Cesme, which is cheap and very cheerful.
Overall, highly recommended.

Highly recommended! This was an excellent choice for my first stay in Istanbul. I wasn’t too sure about the location because of the reviews about the Sultanahmet area being ‘too touristy’, but this little boutique hotel is ideally located minutes away from the ‘old town’ attractions and just two blocks from the water. The room was beautifully appointed ,very large and quite comfortable as well as quiet. The staff was outstanding. Selcuk and his staff were awesome. They could not have been more helpful in arranging dinner reservations, recommending tours and excursions, and making sure your every need is attended. After a long day of touring and sightseeing, the hotel is a wonderful place to unwind, sitting in the courtyard enjoying complimentary pastries and beverages while planning your next adventure. This hotel is an excellent value and I would recommend it to any of my friends who are interested in seeing the heart of Istanbul.

The Suites are very comfortable and great power shower. All the staff could not have been more helpful and friendly and the garden area is an attractive space to relax and have a break. The location is convenient in the old city and in the middle of residential area so it is quite unique and different to normal hotel properties. Very good value for money and they go to a lot of trouble with breakfast.

A perfect place for the romantic who appreciates Victoriana. A Turkish bath in en suite rooms and old fashioned fittings. Good breakfast. Coffee available throughout the day in garden-patio. Situated within 5 minutes walk of The Blue Mosque. The staff are very friendly and helpful. Selcuk (in charge of guest relations) will advise you how to plan your stay to make sure you get the best deals on tours etc.
