“Great hotel!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 6, 2013

We only stayed here for 1 night, but it was a great stay!
The beds are really big and long, so tall people will enjoy it too.
Sophia made our stay even better. We really LOVE her!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
We love the breakfast, at the nice rooftop terrace, and the friendly people working here.
Also we had a really nice view from our window.
So, we can recommend it!

We stayed in this hotel from 18 till 21st of April 2013. To be honest te were dissapointed.
We got the room on 5th floor, just beneath the (breakfast)terace. The room was very noisy because of the thin doors and walls. Every day from 07.00 we woke up because of the staff preparing breakfast and guests having breakfast.
We spoke with the staff about this, but they sayd the rooms on the 2nd, 3rd and 4th floor had much more noise of the train that runs direct near the hotel. There are a few rooms on the other side, but these are few, so big chance you'll be confronted either with breakfast noise or train noise.

Plus sides: nice beds, friendly staff and good location.

Room Tip: Ask for a room on the street site (not the train tracks).

i stayed there for one night with my husband, but it was the most crucial night, since we had just arrives in turkey, jet lagged n exhausted.sophie seemed like an angel to us who welcomed us with open arms.she quickly guided us regarding how to travel, what to do and how to do.she even offered to keep our luggage in her store room while we travelled around the country, which was extremely sweet n nice of her.rooms are small yes,but considering that we were there to visit places,it worked fine for us.the view at the top, specially at breakfast time is amazing!its wlaking distance away from all the main locations.you will love it!

Room Tip: do NOT take a room on the ground floor facing the railway line.or you can only sleep after 11 and be...

As other guests have said, the service is excellent. The hotel is very charming and clean. Bathrooms were surprisingly modern with very large showers by European standards. Rooms were small and bed a bit firm for my taste, but the superior service and delicious breakfast more than compensated for those shortcomings. If the quality of the accommodations are more important to you than service and charm, you may want to look elsewhere. However, if, like me, your priorities are service, location, cleanliness, and good breakfast, look no further. I would stay here again without hesitation.

Note: If you have a long stay in Istanbul, you may want to consider staying in the Sultanahmet area for part of your trip and the Taksim area for part of the trip. Istanbul is big and crowded, and Sultanahmet and Taksim are not within an easy walk if eachother. You can take the metro, but it doesn't run after midnight. So if you want to experience the nightlife around Taksim, consider booking a hotel in that area for part of your vacation.

The hotel has the perfect location. The price is good. The rooms are small but clean -- so long as you're planning to spend most of the day out and about this shouldn't be a problem. Breakfast is a bit disappointing but the view from the terrace is gorgeous. The night clerk seemed a bit too friendly -- kept suggesting we should go for drinks.

My husband and I spent eight nights at the Blue Tuana in October 2012. We booked on line not knowing anything about the hotel just hoping that what we read on line was true. Well, it was that and more!!

Even before we arrived, I found their service amazing!! I emailed the hotel asking if they have airport transfer or if we should take the public transportation; Sophie got back to me within one day! She told me exactly what we needed to do if we took public transportation and she also indicated that she could arrange for a transfer from the airport. We decided to go with the cab and they were waiting for us when we arrived!

This hotel is in the perfect location within the Old City. It's a short walk from the main center which is nice because you can retreat to your room after a long day of exploring and quietly relax. Directly across from the hotel (and along the way to the center) is a local corner convenience store where you can get water, beer, snacks, etc. The people in both of these locations are wonderful! They truly love tourists. The rooms are fantastic. They are clean, comfortable and the maid service came every day.

The highlight of this hotel is the roof top dining/balcony area. You will have spectacular views of the Bosphorus and the Blue Mosque. In fact, when we ventured to the roof just after we arrived, we couldn't believe the magnificent view--it is spectacular!! Every day after we explored the city, we would go up there to relax with a beer and enjoy the beautiful view before we headed out for our evening adventures. Breakfast was included with our room price and it was also very nice. There is a wide selection of typical Turkish breakfast cuisine such as bread (lovely), fruit, boiled eggs, beverages, etc. It was very delicious and we enjoyed it every day.

The people who work in the hotel are also extremely helpful and very, very nice! I typically interacted with Sophie (she was always there when I was) and she offered great advice on shopping, laundry services and dinner locations. The entire staff that we dealt with from Sophie, to the night staff, to the maids to the breakfast employees were all wonderful!!

I highly recommend this hotel. You can't beat the price for the service you get. I would definitely stay here again when I return to Istanbul!!

As you can tell from my review, a great experience begins with the hotel and this place didn't disappoint! It only made our trip that much better.

Thanks to Sophie and her team!!

Angie & Jeff.

This hotel is just launched and 7days after soft opening when i stayed there. It was sooo cheap at that promotion time, i mean for the 4 stars quality (for me it's 4 stars because of the good quality they have) I would be willing to pay even more the price i paid. Room are very clean, toilet are very clean and nice and new, everything orange and white in the bathroom, i love the shower box (rectangle glass shower box), they have hot and cold water and nice water closet too, but as most of European toilet, there is no wc shower, so you have to use tissue.

There is pantings in the room, they have big window which you can open in the morning and breath freshly. Their bed is very comfort and for room-size in Istanbul, this hotel provide big rooms rather than other hotels. Apparently at that time, breakfast was still served in the sister-hotel Eski Konak which is also tasty breakfast. The serve all type of international breakfast such as: cereal with milk, all type of jams, all type of breads, egg, all type of ham, even fruits etc! They are serious about hospitality, not like other hotels in Istanbul. And it is located just 200-300meters from the Blue Mosque, facing down to seaside, a strategic place and lots of restaurants, cafe and grocery nearby so you dont have to worry if you're awaken in the middle of the night hungry.

Happy vacation! You will enjoy it for sure, i love Istanbul and the people and i love this hotel.

Room Tip: do not choose the one facing the train railway or else you'll find comfort to sleep. ask for the...
