We stayed at the Basileus for 5 nights. Room size was fine - no tea/coffee facility. Bathroom was also fine. Cleaning was efficient. Breakfast variety good. However noise of traffic is a problem at present due to the road around the Hippodrome/Blue Mosque being relaid. As a result a stream of traffic comes down the hill right past the hotel from early morning and this can be pretty noisy. Not the fault of the hotel who have a notice apologising for the noise but if you are booking the Basileus check out if the roadworks have been completed. Apart from that, it's in a good location - provided you don't moind walking up a fairly steep hill to get to Sultanahmet main area. We came on the metro and tram from airport thinking that we could walk to hotel but roadworks stymied that. It would also have been quite a trudge uphill with cases.
