We stayed at Kervan Hotel for 5 nights, after having contemplated not staying in Sultanahmed, the Old Town, but Taksim instead to be away from the touristy part of town. In the end we were glad we stayed at this hotel because the location was perfect, in between the Blue Mosque and the Hagia Sophia, close to Topkapi Palace and the tram line that brought us to Taksim, the ferry terminals and basically anywhere else in town. The view from our room was amazing, the Blue Mosque to the right and the Hagia Sophia to the left. The hotel has a restaurant downstairs in a small pedestrian street lined with bars and restaurants. Beakfast is served there, so you can start your day with breakfast in the sun. The house keeper/concierge spoke excellent German and English and took care of our every need. The hotel doesn't have a reception, yet, but he is there whenever you need him. The room itself was spacious, clean and very nicely decorated. the hotel is fairly new and you can tell - everything's spotless. This hotel is great value for money in an excellent location and I would stay here again!

This little hotel is situated in the heart of Istanbul right in the middle of Hagia Sofia, Blue Mosque and Basilic Cistern. Due to its central position this hotel can be easily reached from the airport by both metero and tram. Needless saying that all other main attractions are a stone's throw away.
It is a clean and homey accomodation decorated with Turkish items from the hotel boutique next door. The rooms offers soundproof windows, a.c., wifi, and clean bathrooms.

The staff of four at Kervan are all very friendly, helpfull, and are english speeking. The owner is also fluent in several other languages. These people offers first class assistance to all their customers. It was defenetly an excelent deal, and will stay there for our next visit.

Daniel and Charlene

Room Tip: Book the rooms that are on the front of the building, benefiting from the excelent view of the Blue mosque and Hagia Sofia

I have stayed here four times and each time was great. I liked the airport pickup and the manager made all the arrangements for the shuttle back to the airport. I found the maid service to be great. This place is close to all the sights and loads of restaurants. Definitely recommended.

This was our third visit in this hotel, reasons being unbeatable location in the heart of Sultanahmet and super helpful staff. Owner and staff speaks good English. The hotel rooms are impeccably clean. The owner, Turgut always made us feel at home even sharing his iftar meals with us during Ramadan. Prices compere well within the other hotels in the area.
