“Where Jazz lives in Istanbul”
Reviewed January 7, 2013

A Jazz Club with flesh and bones... a melting pot of the pop, ethnic & standard jazz, the world famous & extraordinarily talented young musicians... Yearly competitions to select the young vocalist & guitar player of the year... Friendly, everpresent proprietor ...
A must if you are ever in Istanbul and have the least affinity for Jazz!

“Good Ol Jazz”
Reviewed December 11, 2012

Nardis is very conveniently located near the Galata Tower. The program normally starts at about 10 pm and they have a website where all the performances are advertised. It is recommended to book for the popular performers and especially at weekends. The entrance fee about TL35 is supposedly for the performer and council tax. The bar is a little on the high side and I believe that this is to do with the recent heavy taxation by the government on alcohol. I have visited Nardis about 6 times every time I visit Istanbul and absolutely love it. The barman makes a fantastic Mojito with fresh mint and uses Havana Club. The price for food is not that bad and the quality is quite good. Do try and get a seat in front of the stage.

This is an old fashioned small Jazz Club very intimate and friendly

“Great little club”
Reviewed September 12, 2012

The club is right near the Galata tower, the music does not usually start until 10.00 - 10.30, so check their web site. I would suggest booking in advance, we didn't and only just got in. Entry cover charge was 35TL but worth it. If you get a seat upstairs sit near the balcony ot you won't see anything. Good service and choice of drinks, but no food.

“SSSSSSHHHHHHHH IT'S JAZZTIME”
Reviewed July 4, 2012

After all the kaos and mess at İstiklal Street and half a km downhill to Galata Tower area, hundreds of youngsters sitting and drinking and chatting during the whole night and few tefs and darbukas moving up the crowd and policemen watching around suspiciously,at half a block distant is this tiny jazz club of 2 flats,at most for 50 people is a heaven,
Wine selection is avaible from avarage to high end price-50 euros-,food can be tried for 15 euros for a main dish or less for sandwiches which does't worth, ticketting at door for 15 euros/each, music starts at announced time and nobody goes on talking-perhaps a few whispers can be heard-. The silence of clients and pure jazz is a surprise after that mess of Istanbul,Player lists on web one month earlier so you can select your date here. Our group kept on playing till 2 am with two half an hour intervals,
